THEATRE

The Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society Presents

A powerful, brilliant piece of theatre that is both intellectual and emotional.

A dramatic and thought-provoking depiction of one Canadian farmer’s battle with corporate greed, SEEDS documents the story of Percy Schmeiser, the Saskatchewan man that took on Monsanto in one of the most controversial legal cases in recent memory. Based on trial transcripts and interviews with farmers, academics, and scientists, SEEDS is a thrilling and stirring exploration of the facts and events that are at the centre of the debate about modern agriculture, GMO concerns, and the clashes between independent farmers and the biotech industry. Shedding light on the individuals at the heart of these issues, SEEDS merges crucial topics of our time with dramatic storytelling in an award-winning production that boldly and importantly confronts Schmeiser’s question of ‘who owns life?’
