如果物件能夠感知人的行為,它會給你什麼樣的回應?如果一個非生命體做為一個類生命體的存 在,它會是個怎麼樣的存在? 這個裝置能夠接收人們的觸碰並作出反應,探討人與物件與環境的互動模式及相互傳達之情感。 If an object can perceive the behavior of people, what reaction would it give you? If a non-living body exists as a living body, what kind of existence would it be? This device is constructed by fabric. It is touched by people and give them responds, which is showing the interaction mode between people and things as well as the mutual communication.

互動模式 Interaction mode |
觸壓個體(布)邊緣角落處,即開始互動。 多個個體為一群組,當外界沒有介入的情況下(沒有觸壓個體),每一組會有 自己的一套系統動作且持續循環,然而一旦這個系統被介入(個體被觸壓), 在這個系統中還沒輪到動作的個體會因此開始動作。 Touch the edge of the main object(fabric) and start the interaction. If the outside world deesn’t intervene(do not touch the fabric), each group would act as a cycle in its own set of system, however, when the system is involved(the edge of fabric is touched), the main object who have no action will start acting.

透過嘗試不同小物件(鋼琴、鞋墊、桌遊、手套)的發想與製做,研究和測試導電布與其隔離層的各種特性 及可能性。 Try making different stuff(piano, shoes, table game, gloves) to research and test the possibility and characteristic of Conductive Fabric and Islation layer. 導電布軟開關的導通(/電)與否受到三個因素的影響: 一、導電布的大小; 二、隔離層的孔洞大小、分布、材質; 三、外加電阻值(敏感度)。 The conduction of the conductive fabric (soft switch) is affected by three factors: first, the size of the conductive fabric; second, the size, distribution, and material of the hole in the isolation layer; and third, the resistance value (sensitivity).

硬的材質靠分割成單元使其變軟,而軟的材質「組合單元」形成結構( 變硬)。嘗試由不同的平面圖樣及其分佈於布上,進而去組構成各種具 有結構的立體形體。 不同結構的形成除了受到圖樣本身的組構方式及配置影響外,圖樣間 的距離也會影響。 Hard materials are divided into cells to make them soft, however, soft materials "combine into cells" to make them hard. I tried different types of pattern distribution, and then go into many kinds of 3D structural form. The formation of different structures is not only affected by the type of pattern distribution but also by the distance between the patterns.

影響此結構強度之因素: 一、圖樣大小與密度; 二、平面剪裁與圖樣分布; 三、布料特性(軟硬、厚薄、彈性與否)。 Factors affecting the strength of this structure: First, pattern size and density; second, the cutting of fabric and pattern distribution; third, the fabric characteristics (soft or hard, thickness, elasticity or not).

選定。利用矩形的不定性產生變形。不同的受力方向會使它有不同的形態,可收合及展開(特定方向施力) 、具有一定的結構性。 Selected. Use the uncertainty of the rectangle to generate the deformation. Different directions of force would let it into different forms, which is a structural form that it can be opened and unfolded (forced in specific directions).
