Some people say that art and design are two very different fields. Others say that they are very similar and inseparable. After graduating from the Department of Art and Design, I understand the difference between art and design but also agree that they complement each other. In the past four years, I have not only acuired professional knowledge, but also how to combine the knowledge and technology in different fields to complete the creation that I hope to present. I hope to be able to touch more new subjects in the future, and try to create new possibilities.

If an object can sense human behavior, what reaction will it give to you? If an inanimate being exists as a humanoid, what kind of existence would it be? Many individuals from a group whereas each of them is an independent existence, but mutually influencinge each other in the group. The device receives human touch and give reaction to explore the interaction from human to objects, and thus objects to environment. Each individual reacts to the intervention while maintaining its balance within the system. The device uses the conductive cloth developed by Far Eastern New Century to study the possibilites of this material and apply it to the sensations of touch and pressure of objects. 03 / The Cluster

STEP 1 | Conductive Cloths & Isolation layer test The conductive cloth is used as a switch, and is composed of two conductive cloths and an intermediate isolation layer. The isolation layer is thick and it has a hole. When the pressing force is applied, the upper and lower conductive cloth contacts(switches) are turned on. Relationship Chair < 一絆一伴 > I am half of you, however, we are also two equal individuals. This is some kind of obstruction that I cannot get rid of, but I am willing to accept it and turn it into a companionship with each other. The relationship chair is a chair that explains human relationship, and I made this chair to describe the relationship between my mother and I.We rely on each other, trust and tolerate each other. The concept was developed by "inclusiveness". In the space of a cubic wood frame, there is a seat formed by strips of cloths to show the concept of inclusiveness. The Secret Place In here, I can relax; I can escape pain; I can listen to my mind. This is my secret place. It's inspired by Roelofs (2014) Elevations and Stellations and Haveman & Roelofs (2008) Structure Sensation. According to two researches, I conclude a rule of formation which is using flat units to construct shape or structure by using latch and the arrangement of combinations. I follow this rule to build a space I want.

Self-propelled Cart The self-propelled cart is one of Da Vinci's creations and it is also the world’s first cart to be able to move on its own. Studying Da Vinci's self-propelled cart mechanism, I then added an illuminating device. The mechanism can generate electricity by converting the kinetic energy. I transformed Da Vinci's self-propelled cart into my lantern fish self-propelled cart.

Because the number of teeth of the large gear are more than the pinion gear, with one rotation, the large gear rotates can turn the pinion gear many times. Bridge KNOT < KNOT > Knot is a posture to burst out; extension is a process to proceed. Bridge has a meaning of connection between two places which is a symbol of going across barriers; it is the concept of going from one point to another. In this project, we hope to show the feeling of convergence and curling up before extending, just like the appearance of “knot”. Starting with the concept of "knot", in addition to creating the feeling of gathering and visual extension, making a contrast between psychological feeling and actual shape. Form a correspondence and contrast: the ‘’knot area’’ is stable; the ‘’extension area’’ is uneasy and uncomfortable.

Non-power Vehicle <SWING> Like a fish roaming in water. The vehicle is a device for spatial switching, which can bring the human body or consciousness to other places, experiencing the continuous change of feeling by the process of spatial replacement. "Experiencing the journey of transportation", our vehicle travels by using "body" and "feeling" to strengthen the body's feelings. The relationship between the vehicle and the rider is like "fish" and "fishtail". Manipulating the vehicle is as easy and natural as the extension of the body. It uses the center of gravity to shift the direction, not just using a part of the body. Approach to 0 There is a sense of touch through the plastic bag to touching the water. It doesn’t actually touch water, but it felt fit as if there’s real contact. It's a feeling of proximity, a feeling that seems not to be true. Proximity is a concept of approaching the limit. When approaching a limit, there will be an infinitely close moment; after that moment, the state will change in the direction of the approaching change. I think it is when people litter. The moment to let go is to ignore the moment of infinite approach of the rubbish that oneself makes, and after a period of accumulation, this fantastic beauty limit will gradually come closer to reality.

ON / OFF 60 switches, but only one is working. However, no one know which switch can alight the bulb. When you accidentally press the correct switch, suddenly the alarm sounds, but the lamp is not lit. In fact, there is no switch to make bulb glow. People usually subconsciously make certain reactions because the senses are stimulated by certain things. Seeing these switches, we involuntarily want to press, and try to find the one that would work.

Conductive Cloths Conductive cloths are developed by Far Eastern New Century. It is used as a switch. Because of human intervention, it can detect electronic conduction and sense the force area then generate a response. The conduction of the conductive cloths (soft switch) are affected by three factors: first, the size of the conductive fabric; second, the size, distribution, and material of the hole in the isolation layer; and third, the resistance value (sensitivity).

Taoyuan Poetry:AR Teaching System The main purpose of this system development is to enhance the interaction of literary poetry teaching and learning motivation through the assistance of personal mobile devices and the experience of the landscape field. This system is an innovative teaching of AR interaction for cross-disciplinary collaboration between design and literature. By designing the three-dimensional imagery in the poetry, and then superimposing the virtual scene on the real scene. This system reproduce the situation and enviroment that the poet experienced, in order to help readers to understand the artistic conception and connotation in poetry more deeply. In addition, this system allows students to create in the field, by dragging the modular 3D virtual components, re-structuring the new artistic conception, and practicing poetry writing to achieve the field experience, just like a poet. To experience the pleasure of learning poetry, reading poetry, listening poetry, and even playing with poetry.
