THE WEATHER Today we see alternating blue sky, sunshine and clouds. The temperature is hovering around a pleasant 25°C, ideal to put on your new Krinkel T-shirt on. The new moon will make for an earth-shattering night.

The rakwi and keti teams opt for a group attack. With success: their baskets get into the air first. Then the red and the purple section teams decide to do the same. In the second half of the game, the purple and yellow group shoot past the leaders. Did rakwis and ketis perhaps waste too much energy with their quick group attacks? In any case, the other divisions continue to pound firmly on the aspi’s. With a dislocated shoulder, a thick lip and a lot of bruises, the first aid has its hands full. Just in time, the keti team is able to recover and the blue team is the first to reach the top. Unfortunately, the titos were never close and the rakwis had to give up their basket to the aspis.

The game begins hesitantly, but soon every hairnet changes heads several times. “Those who want to take it a little more easy can earn a net here in the turtle race,” supervisor Jonas explains. “By the way, we hid some nets in the box, but no one has found them yet.” Most of the youth leaders throw themselves into the battle instantly to get balls to the fort.

ASPIS WIN THE FIRST MASS GAME Meert[Olaf]foto: Meert[Olaf]foto:Poorten[derVanBrent]foto: Poorten[derVanBrent]foto:

Watch out, pesky wasps, because the bee colony is taking over the mass game. In a thrilling battle between leaders and aspirants, the first bee hives took to the air yesterday morning. Although the leaders fought bravely, the aspis (16-18y.) were victorious. At the start of the mass game, both teams estimate their chances high. Clarisse, leader at Chiro Bloemkine, just wants to “go and keep going”. Lies of Chiro Velzeke sounds tough: “I use my experience as a leader to beat the aspis. But damned, they are many,” she adds. The circle in which the aspis defend their fortress is indeed rather full. “Can we tackle people?” someone asks there. “We’re going for rough tactics.”

During the final part, blue, yellow and purple compete against the aspis. Being tiny, aspi Sam proves to have an advantage while climbing. In a neck and neck race with the ribbels, he reaches the top first. Sam: “Great! We’ll celebrate that properly tonight over the laver.”

“THE LONG TRAVEL WAS ALL WORTH IT”

Would you like to come back for the next edition?

Constanza: “Krinkel is way too big, but the energy is amazing. I’ve never heard people making noise at this level. So cool!”

meert[olaf]foto:

Missing: the male occupant of tent 35 on the national camp ground. His female fellow-residents, who have never been able to spot him in a waking state, are worried.

What will be the first thing you will tell your family or friends when you’re back home?

Mark: “I’m very impressed about the huge camp venue and the large number of people that are gathered here. We’re all here to have some fun and to get to know other people. It’s not just about Krinkel, it’s all about the memories we make. The long travel was very much worth it.”

Lost and Found A sleeping bag was found at camp ground Roeland. The rightful owner had a cold night. Or was this person kept warm by a Krinkel crush?

8h10: Okay, time to get dressed! When I’m in my clothes I leave the tent. While walking, I shout ‘good morning’ or ‘yoooo’ to everybody I meet. Did you know there are fifteen different nationalities on our campground? Even the whole of our country is represented! There are of course Flemish people, but also people from Brussels and Wallonia!

18h30: Dinner is served! What a great cooking team we have! Lots of love for them! 20h-...: Time for the play and more activities! +- 22h30: Time for laver, and shouting ‘elaba’. For those who don’t know that last word: if you hear it, it usually means someone did something bad! Be warned! For sure too late: I’m going to bed. Tomorrow, I will regret not already putting my fresh clothes next to me. Now I will be eaten by bugs.

Constanza: “I’ve traveled very far to get here and I had high expectations, but they’re all fulfilled. I will take a lot of new ideas with me to Chile to teach our youth new things over there.”

8h45: We receive the Klinker. We wonder what all the commotion concerning Spanish espionage is about and we are offended that the King does not like our Atomium! We decided to make ice cubes because it is so hot! Without our ice cube Atomium it would definitely be hotter at Krinkel!

What was your first impression of Krinkel 2022? Bianca: “This is a totally new experience for me. I didn’t go to such a large camp in tents before. It’s an intense experience in which we’re pushing our boundaries and limits to handle ourselves on the survival part. But I like it here. The food is good, the people are very nice and getting to know many people of other cultures is absolutely the best part of it.”

7h59: I hear the chickens of camp ground ‘Kempen’. I know somebody will wake us up soon.

Bianca: “Yesterday evening we had an international culture night where we discovered each other’s traditional food and dances, and stories about the habits of the people in all the different countries. It opened up our minds and was a very cool experience.”

Royal greetings Your Queen Désirée (Muds) (Daisy)

10h-...: Time for our activities! Everybody is very enthusiastic, everybody plays along. For all participants, Krinkel is a time of exchange. After Krinkel we take a shitload of inspiration to our own youth group! We are having so many experiences on our campground, but on other camp grounds as well, e.g. during ‘landlopen’. For some, even sleeping in a tent or using toilet paper is a ‘first time ever’. Did you know that in some countries they don’t use toilet paper but a ‘bidet’?

“I like the attitude of the Belgian people doing ‘HOO HOO HOO!’ (beats the table with her fists). They’re yelling it like they want to say: ‘Ha! Krinkel! We can beat everyone!’ For me that’s something really inspiring.”

INTERNATIONALDIARYOFDÉSIRÉE

Bianca: “Personally I would not come back, in order to give other people of my country a chance to come over. That’s how it works in our organisation. Other people came before me, they gave new information to the next generation and asked us to participate this year.”

8h05: Ignoring that I have to wake up is not an option anymore… I need to get dressed. I have to go to bed earlier this evening. I’m so tired! But it is so nice at the ‘laver’ every night! I know it will be late tonight too!

Do you think we have weird habits in Bianca:Chiro?

SATURDAY AUGUST 27 TH 2022 MERKSPLAS02

Bianca: “I wasn’t expecting much because the participants of Romania who came here for the previous edition warned me for the food. They said I would not like it because to them it tasted like dirt. (laughing) But actually I’m very happy because the food is okay and my belly is full. I just don’t like the soup, because it’s very liquid, but it’s edible.” Are there big differences with your own youth organisation?

A mug of Chiro Boekt was found at camp ground Antwerp. The rightful owner can explain to the logistics team how it got there.

Constanza: “In Chile we usually only organise camps for kids. I came here for a leader camp, so for me it’s a little confusing to ‘be the kid’ right now. But it’s fun.”

Mark: “Of course. I want to experience more and take more ideas with me to my home country.”

Fifteen nationalities, three common languages, ninety participants and thirty-two volunteers. That sums up the international camp ground on Krinkel 2022. Some of them traveled two days or more to get here, but they seem to agree that it was all worth it. We went to visit them and talked to Constanza from Chili, Bianca from Romania and Mark from the Philippines.

8h30: Time for our camp dance! All the members and leaders love the dance! After the camp dance we have breakfast. The ‘kokkies’ (cooks) take good care of us. :)

What was the most amazing thing you did until now?

8h00: The waking up moment is a surprise every day. So far we had a song about a girl wearing only shoes, slamming on pots and pans, and somebody who shouted ‘wakey wakey’. What will it be today?

Mark: “The most amazing part for me is absolutely my energy these five days, because I love rough games. All the Philippine members over here love them. We don’t want to miss anything. If we play a game we didn’t know, we write it down afterwards so we can introduce it to the people in our country.”

What do you think about the food?

Bianca: “I don’t think there are a lot of contrasts between the games and the activities, but the mass games were a little shocking though. I see a big difference in the way the Belgians play or do things. We play the same games, but just not as hardcore as they do over here.”

Krinkel’s sports enthusiasts were happy at camp ground Heuvelland. For the bravest among you, an obstacle course was set up. The candidates climbed constructions, mountains and walls. In the end, there was a speleology box. The winners received a beautiful cup. Those who did not receive a prize, however, had a good chance of getting bruises. Rumor has it that negotiations are already underway to sell the concept to Flemish sensation television channel VTM.

The afternoon’s thinking was done on the international camp ground, although people’s cognitive ability was put to the test by the hot weather. Here, candidates could win a patch by solving quiz questions. The answers could be found in and around the dining tent. You could also try to break the world record for stacking M&Ms! Sticky fingers guaranteed.

Those who swinged by the national camp ground could walk past the Wall of Fame and admire the stars who work for the various national teams at Krinkel. Paparazzi or fans who want to spot a BN (‘bekende nationaler’ in Dutch or ‘well-known national volunteer’) in real life will have to look very carefully because the BNs are usually scattered around the Landloperskolonie behind the scenes of all kinds of activities.

Never would you have guessed that there are so many different kinds of cabbage (‘kool’ in Dutch)! Another typical Limburg product is the vlaai (sweet flan), which, of course, could not be missed. Each museum visitor received a bingo ticket, a volunteer turned the wheel and each number offered a chance to win a quarter of a flan. A total of fifty flans had been provided and they were gone in no time. Lise, Lisa, Noor and Mathieu were very happy to get their hands on the last piece.

NUMBER OF THE DAY The section ‘Muil en wandel’ in this newspaper is a hit, as is shown by the amount of messages you sent to the Klinker editors and through Instagram. Meanwhile, the counter is at 723, which means that one tenth of all Krinkel participants has already sent greetings. Wow, fantastic! So: greetings to everyone!

The religious among us could visit camp ground Reinaert a little further on. The priest there baptised the parishioners with a leek (‘prei’ in Dutch) and sinners could go to confession to ask for forgiveness. After twenty Hail Marys, they were ready to go. Nothing seemed impossible at Reinaert: you could even marry yourself! What happens at Krinkel stays at Krinkel.

At camp ground Leuven things got heated during a mass cantus. The songs reverberated far beyond the seeting area, and litres of water were poured down thirsty throats.

Camp ground West-Vlaanderen copied camp ground BXL and also organised a fair, but then in the West Flemish way. Among other things, you could throw strikes in the bowling alley and play shuffleboard, all under the kèrke (transla tion: under the beautiful church tower) of Sint-Wilhelmus. “Twa e mighty volks kerremesse” (it was a really good fair), the locals commented.

On Thursday, everyone could bring out the tramp aka vagabond (‘landloper’) in themselves and wander around on the twelve camp grounds. Were your legs too tired and did you secretly stay in the shade of a tree? Don’t worry, you can read this article to find out what happened everywhere and join the conversation.

Wannabe ‘ketjes’ (a word they use in Brussels for kids) had to be on camp ground BXL for a Brussels fair. ‘Everybody wins’, catching ducks with a pole, life-size who-is-it and grab the flosj. Whoever managed to collect enough points had the honour of being baptised by Manneken Pis: a disguised H&M mannequin with a garden hose. Apparently, many participants seized the opportunity to cool their heads in an original way.

In need of a party? Then camp ground Roeland was the place to be! At the entrance of the camp ground, dancing dino’s greeted you, but you had to be careful that no escaped T-Rex was chasing you. Fortunately, there were some brave guys running around to catch them. Once the dinosaurs were behind bars, you could let off some steam on the football pitch or the giant Twister, or take a look in the miniature dinosaur museum. Relaxing and informative!

Marie-Lynn from Chiro Sint-Job and Lauren from Chiro Jokido wanted a little more foam, but they still had a great time. Senne from Chiro Instuif and Xena from Chiro Kiekeboe put in an extra effort by providing the attendees with the necessary coolness in this warm weather using a water pistol.

Those looking for a more sophisticated cultural activity could visit camp ground Limburg. There you strolled through the Koolmijnlaan, a real open-air museum with contemporary and late-twentieth-century ‘kool’ art.

SATURDAY AUGUST 27 TH 2022MERKSPLAS 03

A wet surprise awaited the visitors at the end of the farmer’s trail.

The farmers of camp ground Kempen sent their visitors into a labyrinth, where their skills were thoroughly tested. After all, real farmers should not fall on their faces too often or they get trampled on by their cows.

The candy machine on camp ground Mechelen was used enthusiastically. Visitors were transformed into candy and sprinkled with water and glitter. Then they had to go into the ‘oven’ – a scorching hot tent – to bake off. Finally, you could emerge through the slide in the candy machine. The flavour range of the sweets was rather limited: mainly sand, sweat and sun cream were available.

For a fresh shower you had to go to camp ground Antwerp. Water and foam flowed abundantly at the one and only Krinkel foam party. The leaders of Chiro Woka told us that they slipped into Antwerp, and they found it a very refreshing experience.

CHIRO AND THE TRAMP

Have you ever been drawn? Drawn into a cloud Full of fun With a shower of experiences We experienced a New group With absurd goals And wonderful moments

Klinker: Do you have some fun statistics to share? Maarten: We had to put up more than a kilometer of light garlands. We also have 190 spotlights, three elevator cranes, a water fountain and two power groups. There were eighteen circus and brass band members, sixteen choir members and ten band members. Still, there were only twenty people in total who really knew what Watt?! was.

Tara & Kirsten: “I thought the evening was a good alternative to a campfire. It was a beautiful light show. We are small, but everything was happening in the air so you could still see everything clearly. There were also many songs, which created a great atmosphere.” Jana Peeters: “A Chiro moment to remember!” Arne: “Surely this was something we didn’t expect at all. How they put it all together really made for a beautiful experience. It was something very special and you didn’t know where to look first.” moment.”atowanted“Wecreategreat

SATURDAY AUGUST 27 TH 2022 MERKSPLAS04 KRINKELERS WONDERED: WATT?! JAW-DROPPINGLY IMPRESSIVE LIGHT-AND-MUSIC SPECTACLE AT SECOND KRINKEL EVENING

Maarten: Together with Delphine, the other team lead, we started working on the idea in 2019, at the beginning of planning what was then supposed to be Krinkel 2021. We were looking for something other than a standard show. We wanted to create a big moment, with a campfire vibe rather than a party vibe. All the volunteers had to be able to enjoy the show. That’s why we mainly used logisticians and kitchen staff to manage the migration of the participants to the location.

SOME REACTIONS

Klinker: Thanks for the great show! Maarten: I’d like to thank the volunteers who helped us clean up afterwards! (laughs)

Klinker: How long did you spend setting up this venue? Maarten: There’s a lot of tools and constructions involved. It took us about a week to set everything up. We even had to cut down a few bushes to make room for the stage. We started negotiating with the owners of the grounds six months ago to get everything in order.

vanderpoorten[brent]foto’s: “What is Watt?!” was the question you heard everywhere on Krinkel for the past few days. Thursday night we finally found out. At 9 p.m., all participants gathered at their camp grounds, full of expectations. They walked over the central avenue, to the place where maybe the craziest moment of Krinkel took place. “Only 20 people really knew what Watt!? was.”

Renke, Chiro Opstal: “A little heart on my wrist.” Casper, Chiro Zwalm: “Chiro, that’s life.”

Marion and Andes, Chiro Achel: “Everyone from our group of leaders got a smiley face.”

Lauren, Chiro Emelgem: “Through a game of ‘What’s the chance?’ we were finally able to make up our minds. We just had to get a tattoo. Our dream had finally come true.”

Thibault, Chiro Stal: “Stal will always remain a part of my life.”

Aron, Chiro Beukenhof: “With the leaders of the ketis (14-16y.), we were going to get the same tattoo together, but in the end I’m the only one who actually did it!”

Anonymous, Chiro Serskamp: “We lived in the buildings of our Chiro group for a week. During that week a tattoo artist visited us. Twelve people had their own Chiro tattoo designed and placed.”

Anonymous, Chiro Sonnenveld: “Just do it, that’s our motto. It was very important to our group and therefore we wanted to symbolise our Chiro group with a sun tattoo.”

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TATTOOS OF KRINKEL

CHIRO, IT GETS UNDER YOUR SKIN

Thijs, Rik, Lowie and Evert from Chiro Millegem: “We had the Chiro logo tattooed, because of our great love for Chiro.”

Chaline, Chiro Sint-Maarten from Koekelare: “The Chiro logo is above a compass that was already there. Chiro made me find direction in life.”

Chiro Sint Anna, Lokeren: “The two of us had wanted a tattoo for a long time. When I visited my friend on her student exchange programme in Granada, we got a tattoo.” Manu and Robbe, Chiro Lourdes: “In our group we had been talking about getting a tattoo for a long time. When the group leader said that his uncle is a tattoo artist, we did not hesitate. Seven boys were tattooed then.” Manu’s tattoo is just barely visible until he pulls up his shorts. Robbe’s tattoo is on his right butt cheeck.

Jamie, Chiro Aartrijke: “Chiro is a source of inspiration in my life. I wanted to eternalise my second home.”

Lander, Chiro Ramsel: “I was thinking about getting a tattoo for a while, but it’s important to find something meaningful. Therefore I got a tattoo of the logo of my Chiro group, because I spend a lot of my free time there.”

Anonymous, Chiro Kanjo from Zulte: “We tattooed the initials ‘CKZ’ ourselves.”

If you are a member of Chiro, you soon realise it’s forever. Some people clearly took this literally and had their young bodies decorated with the most beautiful signs and symbols. Following a request on our Instagram page, we were allowed to photograph their tattoos and ask for a bit of explanation. You can find a selection below.

Anonymous, Chiro Klaasje from Hemiksem: “I had a flame tattooed, because my love for Chiro will burn forever.”

Alies and Antje, Chiro Schulen: “The symbol for women is combined here with the Chirologo. All the leaders of Chiro Schulen got one.”

Getting a tattoo is a choice you have to make consciously. By this article, Chiro does not want to encourage anyone to do so. Do you prefer something less permanent? De Banier sells temporary stick-on tattoos. They are just as fun!

Stephy, Aalst district: “I got a tattoo of the Krinkel logo. Krinkel is such a unique experience that I had it eternalised on my ankle after the 2017 edition.”

Quote of the day

An obscene medal for fighting spirit Group 806 has developed a special habit. Following the example of Chiro Schulen, every day the most competitive person in the group is put in the spotlight. In Schulen this is done by means of a special object or piece of clothing. In group 806 the most competitive person gets a strap-on that they have to wear during the games. These can be games like dick-dack-boom. The slogan of group 806 is, “806 strap-on!”

Thursday: beauty prize (winner Popcorn by Justine aka Steven) Friday: sprint Saturday: dressage Sunday: jumping Under the guidance of supervisors Julie Heyvaert and Joris Kiermeer of Verbond Brussels, the group crafted their own hobby horses with sticks and other crafting materials. Each horse got its own background story, doubling the number of members in group 205 in no time (horses of the competition for the coming days is known. Every day there is a medal to be won in another discipline. These medals can be stuck on the horses. Meert[Olaf]foto:

Every day there is also a hobby horse loser of the day. On Thursday, the title went to a clumsy crafter who mounted the horse’s head incorrectly, causing the horse to look in two different directions at once.

No boring introduction for group 205. The participants were immediately thrown into the Hobby Horsing Crinkle Championship, popularly known as HHCC (ha-ha cha-cha, that is).

Meert[Olaf]foto:

Hobby horses to keep an eye on Korneel is already being tipped as a contender for dressage and jumping. His riding skills could give the young rider an advantage over the other members of living group 205.

The water boys are looking for help Logisticians Tim, Ben and Wannes are in need of help. They are flooded by calls about water leaks. They are busy every minute of the day, so extra help is certainly welcome! Where can you find these three water boys? At the logistics shed next to camp ground Heuvelland. Are you not drawn by this call for help? As a logistician, you get several unexpected showers every day here. And also, with the water boys, you have access to a lot of potato chips!

Another winner! Erin from camp ground Reinaert was able to locate the chair at 12:30 p.m., bringing a red airplane. The chair was located at the hill near camp ground Heuvelland. Erin won a super cool prize. Do you want to participate as well? Find out in Klinker where the chair will be. At 12:30 p.m. you can come find it and if you are first, you win one of our cool prizes. Tomorrow you have to bring worn underpants. And yes, we will check that.

According to the group, the strap-on was a ‘wrong order’. The wrong order then accidentally slipped into the suitcase and made it to Krinkel. Quite a coincidence if you ask us!

Krinkel 2004 in Dourbes in the Ardennes, South of Belgium. Leen Franken of Verbond Kempen lost her Chiro skirt. According to her fellow leaders, she didn’t even blink and persisted to walk around in her underpants for the rest of the stay. Today, solutions for such shortcomings can be found at the Banier on the market. As Angelique van der Straete of the international ground has experienced, one pair of socks is not enough for a week in Merks plas! Angelique bought a fresh pair on Friday morning and is very pleased with it.

Fail of the day

RETRO Fun with underpants

Around 5 p.m. the children go back to their own camp ground. Then the leaders can enjoy their free time or the mass moments such as Watt?! or the night game. “And after supper, we have a meeting with the leaders, because the next day we have to be there again with new, challenging adventures,” says Noor. “But it is also great to talk about and exchange experiences during the ‘laver’, and we are not afraid to go out late on the national camp ground ... just like a real team.”

You look great!

Their parents are cooks on one of the twelve camp grounds, provide round-the-clock permanence in the first-aid station, experience Krinkel as a participant in the ‘VB group’ or constantly perform logistical tasks. In the meantime, the children can go to the ‘Kinderkrinkel’ every day. This initiative was first offered in 2017, but it got an enormous boost at this Krinkel. Kinderkrinkel edition 2022 can safely pass for a small Chiro group with about 60 members and 8 Theleaders!group of children is divided into age categories. Emma and Julie (Chiro Larum from Geel) and Joke (Chiro Sjaloom from Halle) entertain almost 20 little ones between 3 and 6 years old every day. Active, playful kids between 7 and 11 years of age can lose their energy with Noor (Chiro Beselare), Sil (Chiro Heist-Centrum) and Fin (Chiro Sleidinge). This trio has their hands full with the largest group, a section with 25 members. Lotte (Chiro Houtem) and Nathan (Chiro Hulshout) explore the colony with 15 teenagers up to 14 years old. In 2017, Lotte and Fin were still playing along as children. The leaders come from all over the country. As you can imagine, that did not make the preparation of the activities any easier. “But we get into it every day! And the vibe is very good, both among the leaders and the children. The first few days were a bit of an adjustment. Everyone still had to get to know each other and the colony. And the heat was also a problem for us and the children.“

Behind the scenes: Krinkel for kids

In order to avoid more fails, the First Aid Service asks you to be on the look-out for processionary caterpillars and to report it when you see an infestation. This would occur especially in the region of camp grounds Roeland, Reinaert and Limburg.

Every day we select a fail of the day. The day before yesterday, we spotted three dried-out ladies. Emeline Drieghe (Chiro Pimpernel), Aline Declercq (Chiro Gits) and Nina Franken (Chiro Rotem) had to make a long journey in search of a bit of water. One hour and six sore feet later they could finally fill their bottle on camp ground Roeland. The water supply has been refilled, so keep hydrating!

Smooch-and-walk

“The programme includes the classic games that always score well: search for the pirate treasure, Viking kubb, water games and creative workshops. And we like to use the playground and we have a bouncy castle,” adds Fin. The older children have also tried the hinged trail at DAA after some hesitation. And the whole group proudly poses for the group pictures with their self-made Krinkel flag. Lotte and Nathan could just as well experience Krinkel as participants but chose to accompany the children. Lotte was the only one from her Chiro group and had prior knowledge of Krinkel. “I’d rather keep busy with this important task than having to blend in with the crowd.” Nathan encountered a ‘full house’ when registering. “This way I was still able to come to Krinkel and I don’t regret it!”

COLUMN: MY KRYPTONITE

“If I go crazy, then will you still call me Superman? If I’m alive and well, will you be there and holding my hand? You called me strong, you called me weak. But still your secrets, I will keep.” Do you know the song by 3 Doors Down?

Guided by Stijn, a member of the DAA, we put on our harness in good spirits. He shows us how to tighten our belts, but then does it for us. It’s just as if your mum is putting you in the children’s car seat again. With a pat on the back, Stijn reassures you. Off we go to the start of the course. There, a rope is hanging at least five meters above us. Like a mentally challenged salmon, we try to climb up the net. To the delight of the spectators below, we struggle with the ropes. Once at the top, several more challenges await.

Virgo Positive change rarely happens without effort. Keep that in mind as trans formation occurs quickly. You may feel as though you’re in the middle of a whirlpool and getting sucked deeper and deeper, unsure of where you’ll ultimately end up.

Cancer Tact isn’t necessarily your strong suit, Cancer. No one would accuse you of being overly sensitive to other people’s emotions, but today you turn over a new leaf.

No matter how much of a superhero you are, everyone has a bad moment every now and then. You can try and struggle on your own, but know that there is always someone around to help you through it all. Krinkel is already half way through and you may have had too little sleep so far. Your batteries are running low. Possibly. Who hasn’t had a low point once in a while? Everything comes at you at lightning speed and there is little time left for yourself. Much needed time to relax. Take a moment to release some pressure. Everyone has their own way of dealing with this. Lying under a tree with your cap over your eyes. Or a Dixi visit with this Klinker. In the middle of the night, when everyone is asleep, stick your head out of the tent and stare at the stars in the sky. Just read and re-read a message from your sweetheart. Or do you prefer a chat in private with someone you trust?

Take your me-time in time! That’s the only way to remain a superhero. And then you have enough energy to enjoy Krinkel to the fullest. As long as you’ll be my friend in the end! Bruno Bruneel[Bruno]foto:

Leo Your wanderlust is back and you’re bound for the wild blue yonder yet again, most likely to someplace exotic, like Krinkel. Enjoy the time away, but do go back to share your stories with loved ones.

Aquarius People often see you as shy and reserved, Aquarius, but of course you know that you’re really very friendly once you relax. Today you find it unusually easy to interact with others. Pisces New people are likely to come into your life. All you can expect today is the unexpected. Have some extra food on hand and see what happens.

Hinged trail

While strolling on the central avenue of Krinkel, you need to look up through the thick cloud of dust. Near the market place you will find the hinged trail in the trees. The members of the DAA (the team that focuses on adventure) constructed two trails: one you can do as a group activity and one you can do individually. The editors of Klinker tested it.

“We will never do this again.” Getting to the top already feels like a personal victory. In the rope bridge that follows, you will feel muscles you didn’t know you had. Have a mental breakdown halfway up? You’re not alone. Hint from the DAA: with good technique, it is less tiring. Still: please, can someone turn us into accomplished climbers in two days? All jokes aside, with the technical and mental help of the DAA, you’ll conquer those ropes. “If I ever ask you to do an altitude course together again, hit me as hard as you can.”

Horoscope

Taurus This is a day of big changes, because you may also decide to completely alter your way of life. It’s possible that you make a move to another country –maybe Belgium? Trust your instincts, Taurus.
