Of all the “Pimp My Ride” Episodes I have watched from time to time, I am still to see a celebrity guest featured on that show, speaking about their “health” being the truest source of their “wealth”. It is not surprising that we spend a great deal of time maintaining a clean home, car, shoes and clothing, but will overlook the cleanliness of our Colons, Stomach, Vital Organs and the overall health of our body. I have noticed that a lot of women will spend a whole lot of dollars on a good weave- never once considering the fact that with the proper attention to vitamins and minerals- they could grow their own hair to that length in little to no time!

That should also let us realize that if we engage in things that bring peace to us, by doing good deeds and works, then all that we acquire in this life is for those generations that come after us, while, if we only focus selfishly on what we may gain, through unrighteous, unethical conduct - that is going to be given away to those who are called “the righteous”. There is a Surah (Chapter) that is noted in the Holy Qur’an that refers to a wealthy person who may try to use all the wealth they have acquired to BUY him/herself more time on this planet (Surah 3:91; Surah 102, Al Takathur: The Abundance of Wealth). They obviously are unable to, as there is really not enough “money” that can BUY ONE a NEW LIFE, now is there? So, whether one is material poor or material richwhen death is ready to take them- GOOD BYE! ~ However, it can be noted that how one eats, thinks and lives one’s life- may give them a great deal of a more or less productive, healthy/ unhealthy and higher/lower quality of life- no matter how long or short their time on this planet may be. After all, it is really our own choices in life that determine how we will live and how we may choose to die. One may be reading this and thinking- “How does all this apply to health?” Well, it goes back to an understanding that ALL HEALTH is directly related to THE WAY THAT WE THINK. It is stated in the little book of wisdom entitled, “As a Man Thinketh” by James Allen, the following in a Chapter “Thought and Character” the following excerpt, “Thought in the mind hath made us. negative thoughts, we will eventually bring about a condition of health that is reflective of that, versus one who may dwell in positive, uplifting, empowering thoughts. All HEALTH or the lack thereof, is directly related to the CONDITION of OUR MINDS. If we seek to have “good health,” then, have “good thoughts”. It is simply that. In addition, if we learned how to eat to live as opposed to living to eat, we could extend our time on the planet by the fact that our proper selection of good, healthy foods would reduce our exposure to toxins- poisons, chemicals, hormones, artificial elements- all of which reduce the oxygen levels in our bodies and increase our chances of developing “dis-ease,” aging rapidly and other ailments that could easily be avoided by better meal choices and proper meal planning. More on that later. It has been proven through time immemorial by the examples of many who are no longer here among us, but whose lives have served as lessons, that if we lived our lives in an upright manner, encouraging proper ethics in our personal and public affairs of life, love & other relationships, like business, etc., we could invite a higher vibration of a joyous, happy life, found in the midst of doing what is innately the right thing to do. As opposed to that, it is to be noted that the other side of that always leads one to a life of regret, pain, disappointment, sadness and untimely death, as there is no benefit from being other than our selves and living contrary to the nature in which we were made, which is that of The Creator of the Universe! And it should be in the best interest of everyone to be in a state of mental awareness. In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful. I like the thought that I am speaking to people of “consciousness,” because that is a big word that says a lot. The root of the word “consciousness” is comprised of two Latin words, con meaning “with” and scio meaning “to know.” So “consciousness” means with knowledge. “Knowledge,” however, is never “static” or “stagnant”: Once you think you “know,” if you are not careful then you will reach a “plateau of learning,” and you will find the death of your consciousness. Consciousness must ever-evolve because things which are being guided by God grow, and they change; so “what was” is not what is, and “what is” is not what shall be.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, our Teacher, taught us that the Universe was created in “six periods of time.” On the number “6” we have the planet on which we live, which weighs six sextillion tons; and Man, according to the Bible, was made on the “sixth day.” The number “6” is a number of “incompletion” or “imperfection,” so if we are made on the number “6,” then dissatisfaction will always be a part of our lives.

Their was a period in my life when I was wrestling between being a hip hop artist and being a muslim, so for a minute I gave up rap altogether, but when its in u, its in u, and u cant shake what some people may call ur destiny...so I decided to pick da mic back up. A friend of mines brought it to my attention dat da name Coolie Rock sounded to old school and I agreed. one day I was studying the Problem Book which is a part of the Supreme Wisdom, a body of knowledge from the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Master Fard Muhammad given to those of us that our members of The Nation of Islam. in the Problem Book, I saw something in Problem #13 that stuck with me, and then it hit me ...that's the name I would choose to comeback into da rap game...Problem 13 was born. P13: Well maybe not relevant to hip hop, although it very well maybe...come to think about it, I do see relevance to hip hop...but when I chose the name, it was because, I saw da relevance in my own personal life...da problem is as follows: After learning Mathematics, which is Islam, and Islam is Mathematics, it stands true. You can always prove it at no limit of time. Then you must learn to use it and secure some benefit while you are living, that is - luxury, money, good homes, friendship in all walks of life.

PASTOR JAMES BURTON ACCUSED OF CHILD MOLESTATION OF YOUNG GIRL FOR OVER 2 YEARS The pastor of a Fort Wayne church, James Burton was arrested on four felony charges of child molestation on last week. Pastor James Burton, 50, of Greater Faith Baptist Church is accused of inappropriately touching a girl who was a foster child in his care. Police said the incident happened between June 2009 and early this year, reports a Fort Wayne news website. Court documents said that the girl told a school employee about the molestation. The young girl said it started when she was six or seven years old.

LAPD Apologizes For Releasing Notorious B.I.G. Autopsy Report The LAPD apologizes to the Notorious B.I.G.'s family after releasing his autopsy report. Los Angeles Police Department detectives have issued an apology to the family of the Notorious B.I.G. for not warning them prior to the release of the rapper's autopsy report. The report was made public more than 15 years after Biggie died after a driveby shooting. According to USA Today, detectives intended to notify the Brooklyn emcee's family, but the report was released prematurely "due to an administrative error." The LAPD released the following statement: Our detectives personally spoke with the Wallace family (Friday) night, and apologized for not notifying them prior to the release... Obviously this has been a challenging case for us to solve. We hope that witnesses or other people with information will come forward and give us the clues we need to solve this case.

Bank Cards, Bills Contaminated With Fecal Bacteria: Study When's the last time you sanitized your credit card? Exactly. A small new study from England reveals that as many as one in 10 bank cards have fecal bacteria on them. And one in seven bills -- 14 percent -- are contaminated with the bacteria. "People may tell us they wash their hands but the research shows us different, and highlights just how easily transferable these pathogens [are] -- surviving on our money and cards," study researcher Dr. Ron Cutler, of Queen Mary, University of London, said in a statement. Researchers from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine co-conducted the study. The study, which was funded by Radox Hand wash, included 272 people in London, Birmingham and Liverpool who answered a questionnaire and had their hands, money and cards swabbed to collect bacteria. Then, the researchers cultured those swabs to find generally how contaminated they were with bacteria, as well as to detect the presence of staphylococci bacteria, and the fecal bacteria E. Coli, Streptococcus faecalis and Enteroccoci. The researchers found that 91 percent of people said they washed their hands after going to the bathroom, while 39 percent of people said they washed their hands before eating.

Her decision to become a healer was formed at the age of seven. Doctors told her that both legs would have to be amputated. Feeling that something more could be done, one valiant and concerned doctor, out of the group of seven, insisted on other methods of treatment. In saving her legs, the doctor inspired Lee to become a healthcare practitioner, more specifically speaking for the helpless and silent. She wanted to impart the element of compassion in the medical field to all patients with various conditions. As a survivor and a healed being, Lee has dedicated her life to serving the specific needs of her patients. After working for HMOs, hospitals and in federal prison medical units, Lee determined there were alternative methods of healing. Lee finds that when dealing with patients, treatment encompasses the body, mind, soul and spirit. She says that "The mind affects the body, directly resulting in disorders. I spend time with people. You cannot restore the health of patients in 20 minutes. Prior to the initial consultation, my patients, unlike at other clinics, fill out an in depth questionnaire. I not only do a medical examination, I do a nutritional examination, also", explains Lee.
