A Word from the Committee

Throughout this turbulent year, the Swiss Club has been steadfast and resilient, as we have always put you, our Members, at the heart of our organisation. With that in mind, do stay tuned to our various marketing communication platforms as we explore more sports activities in the Club.

Dear Members,

It has been four months since the Club reopened. The Swiss Club Committee would like to sincerely thank you for your continued support and understanding during these past few months.

As the Sports Sub-committee member, I am heartened to see sports activities regain momentum so quickly after reopening. Tennis courts, swimming pools and the gym have been constantly full. In addition, we have added on to the sports offerings in the Club with the introduction of basketball and trekking. Active Fitness also offers a wide selection of group classes, which include bootcamp, spinning, pilates, Zumba, TRX and more.

To those that are here to enjoy the facilities, please rest assured that the surfaces are disinfected hourly for peace-of-mind. Furthermore, every Member that enters has their temperature checked and is issued with a wristband.

During this period, as everywhere else in Singapore, facilities such as tennis courts have been running at full capacity. I seek your kind understanding in exercising patience, as we have to balance the interests of Members who want to take tennis lessons with those who wish to play for leisure. Please bear in mind that the Club does not have the manpower to supervise the tennis courts regularly. It is up to Members to follow the rules and respect each other. Let us exercise consideration and work together to ensure a fair sporting environment for every Member. We are aware that there were some issues with the booking system lately and we are looking into different options for a better solution. As we approach the end of 2020, let us look forward to 2021. Our newly renovated clubhouse will be reopened as we celebrate our 150th anniversary. The 150th Anniversary Committee has been hard at work planning the year-long calendar of events to commemorate this joyous occasion, though it is highly likely that limited group sizes will still apply. We look forward to everyone’s enthusiastic support!
