Meet a Staffer: Hi, Khai
Hi, Khai!
Our Security and Facilities Executive Khairudin Bin Bujang, affectionately known as Khai, has been with the Club, one way or another, since 2015.

FROM CONTRACT TO FULL-TIME
Khai first worked at the Club on contract with his ex-company for three years from 2015 to 2018. He joined full-time at Aaron’s request in November 2019, and hasn’t looked back.
A youthful and fit-looking 56-year-old, Khai is married with three grown children and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he likes to go cycling or bowling with his two grandchildren, aged 10 and 7 years.
OUR SAFETY IS HIS PRIORITY
At the Swiss Club, Khai oversees two other security guards and assists Samy, our Facilities Manager. His team are responsible for Members’ safety, and also take care of the Swiss School. He constantly watches out for children and adults, and keeps an eye out for potential safety hazards. He intervenes in minor disputes, and prepares accident reports when mishaps occasionally occur.
WORK WITH A BUILT-IN WORKOUT
Khai enjoys his twice-daily patrol around the Club. “This walk gives me my daily exercise. I get to enjoy nature and keep healthy,” he shared. “My daily steps count is usually around 5,000 steps!”
When Khai or a colleague encounter the odd python and cobra, they promptly call ACRES to capture and relocate the unwelcome visitor. However, squirrels and chicken are welcome!
OKTOBERFEST MEMORIES
A highlight of Khai’s working year is being part of the team behind Oktoberfest. “I’ve covered three Oktoberfests so far, and hopefully it’ll be back next year. I’m touched that Members remember me and say, ‘You’re back!’ – it’s very touching,” he shared.
A MESSAGE TO MEMBERS
Khai thanks Members for cooperating with the current safety protocol, and hopes that the Club will continue to remain a safe haven for all.
And we thank you, Khai, for keeping Members and visitors safe!
