As per tradition, we have a range of wonderful sports camps lined up for the Easter holidays. As it has often been said, everything you need to know about life can be learned from sports.

Dear Members,

I hope you have had a fantastic start to 2021!

After more than a year of living with COVID-19, I daresay that you have read extensively (if not excessively) about the negative impact of the pandemic around the world, in almost all areas of life. Hence I have decided that my message in this issue of ‘Relax’ will focus instead on positive news.

Let me begin by highlighting the host of new social developments that have been implemented at the Club. They include the regular monthly treks undertaken by our small but intrepid new trekking group, our convivial Apero Tennis evenings, our innovative ‘tennis partner matchmaking’ initiative, and our new basketball offerings from SoMa. Our mind-bending Quiz Nights continue to draw a loyal following.

Our hard-working staff have been toiling behind the scenes to bring you and your kids an array of exciting new activities. For the kids, we have an ongoing calendar of creative art and cooking workshops. For the grownups, we are pleased to now offer Vinyasa yoga, swimming coaching for adults, and one of my personal favourites – the new Gentlemen’s Cooking Club.

As per tradition, we have a range of wonderful sports camps lined up for the Easter holidays. Register your kids in their choice of Tennis, Swimming, Soccer and Basketball Camps. As it has often been said, everything you need to know about life can be learned from sports. In keeping with the multiculturalism of the Club, I am delighted that we will be celebrating (almost) all of the world’s National Day celebrations. Do join us on 17 March for St Patrick’s Day, and on 23 April for St George’s Day!

Our annual White Asparagus Festival returns this year to delight the gourmands and asparagus aficionados among us. If you have never tried these delicate little spears, now’s your chance. They are exquisite, and all the more prized for their brief and fleeting seasonal appearance.

I look forward to seeing you at our Easter Champagne Brunch, and at many of our new social and sporting events.

Happy Easter and Happy ‘Every Day’!

Yours cheerfully,

A. Lim
