Objective(s): Acknowledge different phenotypes in asthma; apply treatment strategies to patients wishing to start tobacco cessation; acknowledge the use of different vasopressors in septic shock; and comprehend close overlap in phenotype of asthma and COPD patients. Objective(s): Apply improved understanding of history and the genetics of sickle cell anemia and the related hemoglobinopathies to treatment decisions; summarize important clinical features of sickle cell disease; and utilize new approaches to the treatment of these clinical features of sickle cell disease for improved outcomes.
