NapolĂŠon is the only film shot in a 4:1 aspect ratio
The Fourth Wall is a proposed housing in the historic, germanic neighborhood, Over the Rhine, in Cincinnati. The building integrates several film centric programs, referencing the old film buisness in Cincinnati.
In an effort to combat gang culture, The Fourth Wall offers an after school program as well as designated units for film teachers and distinguished guests. Student works can be screened on a rooftop, open-air theatre, which rekindles the city’s fomer love of film, and enriches the surrounding night life.

Backstage Backstage is an after school program disguised behind a small shop. In an effort to combat gang culture, this free program teaches kids film skills. Designated suites allow for guests and celebrities to come and collaborate with the kids on film projects.
Facade the facade references a film screen: a public face, and a behind the scenes life, which peels open to provide balconies, and create a dialogue with the public. The perforated metal panels allow for occupants to have full visibity, without loosing their privacy.
Engagement A rooftop screening deck turns the building into a cultural hub, providing a venue for film festivals and viewings, as well as a platform for the Backstage projects. The sound and light also engages with the street life of Over the Rhine, bringing film back into the identity of Cincinnati.
Techtonic studio the studio focused on designing a masters studio in the middle of Mount Airy forest near cincinnati. A techtonic precedent formed the basis of the process.
Precedent Research Printed from gypsum powder, this model was used to develop the techtonics for the masters studio. Based on the ancient Kar-Bahndi dome structure, this model attempts to repurpose the structural integrity of an ancient design to find new techtonic strategies.

Health in the workplace Traditional office culture has many unhealthy consequences, such as poor access to natural light, and exposure to VOCs. Virtual Work Hubs force the architect to employer, Once location becomes unrelated cater to the worker, instead of the employer. to work. There is a new opportunity to reconnect people to nature, and work in healthier spaces tailored to individual lifestyles.

Context To preserve the natural landscape of Sonoma, the building was buried, allowing only a small lunch room to remain visible above ground. A transparent ceiling naturally lights the space, while solar shades mimick the hypnotic rhythm of a vineyard.

the leonard athletic center is part of the cincinnati country day school. The existing building was built over several decades with little planning. Michael mcinturf architects were tasked with designing a grand lobby space to match the athletic prestige of the school.

La Borne
Paris Studio Partnership with Amin Elsokary
A study abroad semester in Paris, France afforded me the chance to look at architecture from a foreign perspective.
My studio project addressed the needs of a single village, La Borne, near Bourges, France. My team decided that while the village had a draw for tourism which included an austere forest, hand made ceramics, museums, and proximity to the Sancerre wine region, it did not offer any type of temporary lodging for travelers, or ceramic apprenticeships.
The resulting project offered community engaged lodging on the edge of the forest. Built entirely out of wood, the project referencs the architecture of a contemporary ceramics museum, while the materials aim to respect the old houses in the village.

Sur la Limite To promote a strong connection between the forest and the village, the buidling was lifted above the sightline to the forest. Everyroom in the buidling now sits at the level of the canopy, and the ground remains open for social gatherings. 4 rooms offer 3 beds each, and a large hallway doubles as communal space open to the kitchen and dinning areas. The entire building offers transparancy between the trees and village, existing on the edge, and bringing life into the heart of the town.
Le Modular Using a variety of postures, my body parts were measured, and used to create a sectional grid. The same postures were then imagined in a space built out of the modular grid. Each Space took on its own mood, and influenced the next stage in the process.
Modular bench Following the modular dimensions that were discovered, this bench is intended to provide beauty, and still offer a natural comfort. The entire assembly consists of just two different pieces, arranged into the looping curve shown.
Modular Park Modular Park combines the human generated forms into a public park. From simple blocks to narrow peaks, the park offers something for all ages and abilities. A child could have fun exploring and climbing, and then return later to relax and ponder their memories.
