Editor's LETTER or¡i¡gin noun the point or place where something begins, arises, or is derived. As we return to the school year, we are reminded that this is the beginning. The beginning of a creative journey in our photography. The purpose of the first issue of the third volume of Chroma is to recognize the work that our photographers completed throughout the course of the summer and past month. This is to create a starting place or origin of the work that is to come throughout this year. I hope you find inspiration in the work of these very talented individuals & thank you for reading Chroma Magazine. Kastine Cook Editor

What did you do? “Moments is a photo series of a big variety of memories I enjoyed during the summer. How did you do it? The reason why there’s not an specific theme in this photo series is because they are pictures I did not planned at all. Why did you do it? Most of the times when I hang out with my family, I take my camera with me and I just feel like capturing all the moments and memories that I know the only way I can live them again is by a photograph.

What did you do? The photos shown here are a collection of images taken throughout the last couple months. Some of them were taken very locally and some, a few hours away. I tried combining images that would complement one another, in order to have a more cohesive series. Why did you do it? I wanted to collect all these memories held in the images and treat them almost like a scrapbook. Each image in here not only holds the visual experience I had, but a fond memory as well.

What did you do? I documented my trip to the beach over Labor Day weekend. I shot this series on a Pentax K100 using Kodak GC/UltraMax 400 Color Negative Film. I shot the oddities I came across on this trip as well as the sheer beauty of the Oregon Caost.
