I want to be remembered as someone who always tried her best to make a difference in this school and in the lives of others. Casey Leister wrote, “You are always there for me” on Mrs. Cullins’s timeline.
Mrs. Cullins Math teacher I can picture Casey Leister sitting in my classroom during PreCalculus last year, always with a smile on her face. I remember thinking to myself, “This is why I love my job! Who wouldn’t, when you get to work with kids like Casey!?” But my favorite memory of Casey isn’t school-related. After my car accident last year, Larry had to leave town for a weekend, leaving me alone. Casey “babysat” me (as I called it!), spending hours taking care of me and watching movies with me. That was a special weekend for me, and I will always remember Casey’s thoughtfulness.

A lot of people will say “get involved”, and that is important, but what is more important is showing respect. I don’t just mean to upperclassmen, but to teachers and yourself. It is NOT cool to bad-mouth a teacher or cuss all of the time, people much prefer someone who is kind than a jerk who thinks they’re cool because they can be loud and hurt other people’s feelings.
Mr. Hall Football Coach Alex Furst gave a tremendous amount of effort on every snap in practice and in games. He earned the respect of all his teammates. He showed great KL[LYTPUH[PVU OPZ ZLUPVY `LHY ^OLU OL ÄUPZOLK [OL last three games on a very bad hamstring. Alex took several of the younger players, other linemen in particular, under his wing and really helped them in all areas of the game and even in school. Alex provided several others an example on how to do things the right way.
