Now in its fourth year, FASHION BLOOMS Toronto has evolved into CHW’s signature fundraising event. Join us for an evening that will stimulate the senses and feature the latest trends in fashion and beauty.

Delivering the best in men’s and women’s spring and summer fashion, CHW is excited to announce a fashion show curated and hosted by Amy Polevoy A.K.A. The Style Heiress in partnership with fashion powerhouse TNT – The New Trend. The event will be emceed by Page Magen of The Magen Group.

Guests will enjoy The Food Dudes culinary creations, signature cocktails, beauty, fashion, and pop-up experiences. In addition, you can bid on amazing silent auction prizes and shop our haute pop-up corner.

To meet the growing demand for top quality rehabilitative services, Hadassah Hospital established the new state-ofthe-art Gandel Rehabilitation Center at Mount Scopus. The Rehabilitation Center will care for 10,000 patients annually – a 250% increase for HMO – and will offer a host of special treatments along with physical and occupational therapy, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and respiratory and orthopaedic rehabilitation.

CHW SUPPORTS HYDROTHERAPY

The new hydrotherapy unit houses two heated hydrotherapy pools with modular floors that adapt to each patient’s needs. The unit serves as an aquatic gym to help a variety of patients through individual and group therapy sessions, treating 150 patients each day – triple the previous number of patients treated daily.

Hydrotherapy is an effective form of water-based physical therapy that eases pain and promotes strength and movement throughout the rehabilitation process. Water embraces and supports patients with a soothing, low-impact environment for exercise. Temperature-controlled treatment in hydrotherapy pools targets a variety of patients healing from traumatic injuries and suffering from chronic pains to help them improve their motor skills, strength, and agility.

Studies have found that hydrotherapy can be a good supplement to physical therapy in the recovery from an injury or surgery. It is also a medication-free and non-invasive option for alleviating symptoms such as muscle pain and joint stiffness.

Shamir Medical Center, home to the largest and most sophisticated hyperbaric treatment center worldwide, is a global leader in the research and treatment of PTSD. Their groundbreaking method combines hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) with the expertise of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to treating severe PTSD. This innovative treatment protocol was developed for severe, treatment-resistant PTSD to significantly improve symptoms, enhance performance, and facilitate a swift return to normal life.

Due to the current crisis in Israel, there is an urgent need to leverage this clinical expertise and utilize the unique and effective tool for civilians contending with severe trauma. Supporting the expansion of the PTSD unit will enable Shamir to provide comprehensive, professional, ongoing treatment tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

Supporting therapy will help heal individuals, children, and adults who have endured unimaginable pain. Your support can help them regain hope and rebuild their lives.

CANADIAN YOUNG JUDAEA

With the global rise of antisemitism, including here in Canada, proceeds will also support Jewish continuity with funding for at-risk youth through Canadian Young Judaea. Not only will your support will help CHW provide scholarships for leadership programming and camp related experiences but will also enable and promote stronger ties to the Canadian Jewish community.

CHW SUPPORTS JEWISH YOUTH

Each year, CHW provides funding to CANADIAN YOUNG JUDAEA summer camps in Canada, which aim to strengthen young members’ Jewish identity and principles. CHW is honoured to have grown alongside such a wonderful organization, and enjoys serving children and youth in Canada and Israel together.

CHW supports the JOLT, CYJ’s flagship program for youth tikkun olam, or community outreach. Participants in the program receive a minimum of 20 hours of community service and have the opportunity to engage in active, social causes and receive hands-on experience volunteering in the community. The main educational objectives of the JOLT programs are: leadership, tikkun olam, development of Jewish identity, and developing ties to their kvutza/ community.

CHW also proudly sponsors a one-week, Jewish overnight camp for children and youth who are LGBTQ2+ or come from LGBTQ2+ families/communities.
