Educate Together

Grow Together
Our Schools Like many other schools in Ireland, Educate Together schools are statefunded and teach the National Curriculum. They are non-fee-paying schools and are open to students of all backgrounds. They are co-educational and have no school uniforms. But they are much more than that: Educate Together schools work hard to instil a sense of equality and justice in students. They embrace the input of parents, students, staff and the wider community to improve the school in every way possible. They are committed to enabling students to achieve their full potential. All students are encouraged to explore their full range of abilities and are provided with equal opportunities regardless of their identity.
Our Ethos Educate Together schools are national schools, teaching the full primary curriculum. They are child-centred and focused on the best possible educational outcome for your child. Our teachers bring the curriculum to life by encouraging children to think, question and engage both with their teacher and with each other.

Equality-based All children have equal access to the school and no one religion or worldview is given priority over another within the school. Co-educational All children are encouraged to explore their full range of abilities and are provided with equal opportunities regardless of their gender or identity. Child-centred Our child-centred approach means that we put children at the heart of all policies and practices and involve them in decisionmaking where appropriate.
Democratically-run We run schools on a democratic basis, encouraging active participation by parents and students in the daily life of the school whilst positively affirming the professional role of the teachers. Our Ethical Education curriculum ‘Learn Together’ supports children’s moral and spiritual development and teaches children about different belief systems. They also learn about democracy, human rights and stewardship of our environment. This curriculum has been developed over 35 years in Irish primary schools and is an important part of making Educate Together schools welcoming and inclusive.
Community We are right in the middle of all the excitement in Cherrywood as the community around us is growing. Between the Residential, Retail and Parks, the community is thriving. We will be lucky enough to be surrounded by four parks within the Cherrywood community. One of which, Tully Park, is right at the doorstep of the school. ther parks developed in the O areas will be: Ticknick Park, Beckett Park and Lehaunstown Park. We have a array of historical sites such as the old church and the round tower.
