Let’s stick together

W

hen we first launched this magazine back in November 2010, our aim was to become an invaluable platform for fashion indies to share their experiences, find inspiration and learn from industry peers. In today’s rocky retail landscape, that concept is all the more relevant – especially as we hear of more seemingly solid independent business models reaching financial crisis. So this month, with a view to further project the people and opinions behind the stores and brands that are the lifeblood of this industry, we have introduced a new section called Shop talk. The newly revised area at the back of the magazine (which replaces City link) is reserved for the stories and opinions of boutique owners, buyers, brand founders, designers, agents and anyone else that makes this industry a success. This month we’re kicking off with some thought-provoking commentary on the present retail climate. In light of York-based indie Coggles entering administration (read more in our Fashion fix section, starting on page seven), Ambience of Colchester’s Melissa Wheeler says, “We cannot have businesses criticising others or indulging in schadenfreude at their collapse; we must all stand together.” Find out what else she has to say about surviving on the high street on page 54. Elsewhere in the magazine we’ve been hunting down ways to ensure that

your store stays in the forefront of your customers’ minds. Online shopping might be the fashion industry’s fastest growing sector – but nothing can beat the experience of shopping in an inspiring retail environment. So this month we’ve uncovered four of our favourite boutique spaces and asked the owners for the low-down on the design. Turn to page 33 to read more. Next month also marks Independents’ Day 2013 (4 July) and the start of Independent Retailer Month. We know some of you have been reluctant to join the festivities in the past, but with the likes of The Dressing Room on board, it’s up to you to fly the flag for fashion indies in your own area. Find out how to get involved now via Nsaforretail.com and Independentretailermonth.co.uk. Gemma Ward, Editor gemma.ward@boutique-magazine.co.uk Follow me on Twitter @ gemmagemmaward

Essential news

The Dressing Room’s store and website manager named the Fashion Association of Britain’s Young Retailer of the Year 2013

T

he Dressing Room in St Albans secured another award for its proverbial mantelpiece last month after manager Charlotte Phillip was named the Fashion Association of Britain’s (FAB) Young Retailer of the Year. The British Independent Retailers Association (Bira) presented the gong at its annual High Street Conference Gala Awards Dinner, which celebrates the industry’s finest – including outstanding retail employees under the age of 35. Phillip, who joined The Dressing Room in 2006 as a sales assistant before progressing through the ranks to her current position, was one of six other young retail workers from a variety of sectors to be recognised for their achievements. In her role as store and website manager, Phillip assists owner Deryane Tadd in the day-to-day running of the bricks-and-mortar store and e-commerce site. The position involves leading and motivating the rest of the

store’s team, influencing turnover with commerciality and product knowledge, providing creative vision for the business through merchandising and digital design, heading staff training and development as well as supporting Tadd’s buying decisions. Meanwhile, as website manager, Phillip also oversees all aspects of the store’s etail division and works with the team to produce email campaigns and social media initiatives. “I’m thrilled to have been awarded this accolade,” she said of the win. “The Bira awards showcase the huge potential there is in retail as a career and I’m honoured to be held up as an inspiration to others. Gaining national recognition has really given a great boost to both my personal profile and the store’s too. It has inspired me to push myself even further in my career and progress all of the girls in our team to achieve their goals for the future. My passion and drive for The Dressing Room to continue to excel in all areas is unparalleled and I am very excited

about what the future holds.” Owner Deryane Tadd adds: “I’m so pleased that there is an awards ceremony that celebrates the best young people in retail. To be successful in this industry you have to be outstanding with people, have great numeracy skills, a flair for creative and display with excellent commercial sense. Over the seven years that Charlotte has worked with me she’s shown these skills in abundance and I’m over the moon that she has been recognised for her hard work, skill and dedication to the business.” Bira also awarded young employees from a range of other sectors including the British Hardware Federation and Pet Product Retail Association. The other winners announced at the Gala Awards Dinner were Emily Motts of RE Thorns and Co in Norfolk; Lucy Codner of Pets Corner in Devon; Frances Procter of Fenwick in Brent Cross; Tim Wiffen of Ellis Dawe and Son in Malvern; and Martha Ferguson from Papylon in Winchmore Hill. Tresor Paris creates bespoke bra for London’s Moonwalk event Fundraisers taking part in The Moonwalk London 2013 were left dazzled last month when one attendee turned up in a pink and white bra featuring thousands of crystals. The creation was custom made by Tresor Paris for Fraser Hart manager Debbie Farrell. She joined thousands of other women who also donned their bras to walk the 26.2-mile course – all to raise money for charity. The Moonwalk London is an annual event organised by Walk the Walk, a charity that raises money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer as well as other related causes.

Investors battle it out for Coggles after York-based indie enters administration The independent fashion retail world was rocked by news last month that Coggles had gone into administration. The York-based indie, which operates two stores and an etail division, had been trying to secure a second round of £4 million investment to open new sales channels, increase its global marketing budget and boost brand awareness. However poor performance in the run-up to Christmas and the hard-hitting recession proved to be a difficult climate for the award-winning store to carry out its expansion plans. Chief executive and creative director Mark Bage hopes that administrators

will be able to find a way for the business to trade through a restructure or sale. “The last two quarters have been the toughest I’ve seen in the industry,” he said. “This is the third recession that I have been through but this one has hit our sector the hardest, which has effectively been a triple dip recession.” The company has reportedly received interest from serious investors looking to bid for the business. At the time of going to press it was continuing to trade as usual while around 50 per cent of its 60 staff members had been made redundant.

Stylecard unveils new free service for independent fashion retailers Consumer loyalty specialist StyleCard has unveiled a free new service for independent retailers to help boost brand awareness and sales. The StyleCard Indy, which was created to bolster the company’s work with the Support for Independent Retail, promises to help businesses boost their online and social media presence while building brand confidence through a loyalty card scheme. Indies who sign up before the end of July will receive a plethora of 8 | boutique. | June 2013

benefits at no cost including their own partner page on Style-card.co.uk, online and offline marketing through digital and print-based media, a mobile presence via an app and optimised site as well as a method of driving awareness and rewarding customer loyalty without requiring technology or other setup costs. CEO Paraag Amin explains: “StyleCard Indy is specifically designed for independent retailers, and there are a number of benefits on offer. StyleCard Indy will have local

presence in local communities and have a much greater offline presence than StyleCard. Our aim is to work with local communities and the high street to drive greater awareness and loyalty to local businesses, and Indy is a platform that achieves this.” For more information visit Indy. style-card.co.uk.

The final countdown: thousands of indies prepare up for month-long promotions drive throughout July

New online fashion marketplace The Counter gears up for national launch Following the closure of Miinto. co.uk, indies have been signing up to new online marketplace, The Counter (The-counter.com). The new site, which is due to go live this month, has been created especially for high-end British fashion boutiques that want to increase their sales channels and online presence. Its creators say there is no other fashion portal on the market offering “such a tailored, sensitive approach to promoting an indie’s brand to a widespread audience.” Founder Matthew Blanchard says: “The Counter grew out of a love for independent stores and a dislike of the monotonous looks that we see in every high street and shopping centre of Britain. My team and I celebrate individuality, self-belief and the desire to build something yourself from the ground up. Independent store culture needs to be supported and celebrated in order to survive the fate of the super stores washing out our streets entirely.” Among the stores already signed up includes Stanwells Boutique in Lymington. Owner Julia Aitken comments: “Matt and his team have spent a great deal of time developing The Counter and I believe that this is a great way for the small indies to take their first steps into ecommerce. It’s exciting, just like opening a new shop really, except without all the hassle.”

Retail Champion Clare Rayner is urging womenswear indies to join The Dressing Room in St Albans, Amersham’s Coco Marie and Amabo Boutique in Lancashire to take part in July’s Independent Retailer Month. 2013 marks the UK’s third installment of the annual campaign, which aims to raise awareness of local businesses, boost community spirit and increase footfall in town centres. To take part indies will be uniting around the country to create promotions, activities and events to capture the imagination of the local community and remind people what their local centres have to offer. All retailers taking part have access to a range of free downloadable materials and resources from promotional posters and window stickers to media liaison templates. Founder Rayner says: “Some of

the ideas that retailers have come up with so far this year are brilliant – everything from live music in-house and exclusive discounts to moneysaving vouchers to redeem in August for those who spend during July. Other retailers should follow their example and make their local village or town centre the first port of call for shoppers again. “There are more than 192,000 independent retail businesses in the UK and almost 250,000 premises are occupied by them – the more of them who take part in Independent Retailer Month to celebrate their input and impact into the retail environment, the stronger they will become.” Thousands of Independent retailers across the UK are expected to participate in this year’s activities. For more information visit Independentretailermonth.co.uk.

Ruby Rocks launches new instock service to help indies react quickly to trends Power print specialist Ruby Rocks has revised its service to sell selected lines straight from stock. Buyers can now visit the label’s Great Portland Street showroom in London to make selections to be taken away that day or delivered to the store. Meanwhile, for those that are unable to go to the capital, the brand also sends out a weekly digital look book featuring the available items, which can be ordered by phone or email (contact E: modoagency@onetel.com for more information). Co-founder Jenny MacDonald says: “This has been a great move forward for the brand. We get to speak to stockists constantly and

react quickly to what’s selling as well as what the press has picked up on as a trend. The fashion consumer magazines have been constantly featuring our Ikat bomber jacket and Eastern Peacock shirt dresses all season, which have been flying out of the showroom.” Ruby Rocks launched in 2006 as a short order label specialising in strong day-to-night designs with memorable prints at affordable prices.

A

s a uniquely British brand, for 30 years Out of Xile has always been almost entirely handmade in small workshops around England, and every garment has always been trimmed, dyed and finished here. Out of Xile also believes in working with local, independent retailers who know their customers one-to-one. Every

stockist is assured of local exclusivity, but company founder Cathy Hewlett is keen to introduce her designs to new areas of the country. Because the clothes are made to order in England, each shop can choose its own unique story. Out of Xile uses exclusively natural fabrics (including silks, cotton and fine linen), and the key to all the collections is quality and individuality at an affordable price, whether customers are looking for everyday wear, or a gorgeous, unique outfit for a special occasion. The new Spring collections will be at Who’s Next, Paris, from 6-9 July, and at Pure, London, from 4-6 August – but we are also showing all over the country from the end of June. Design dreams Four indie owners reveal the results behind their recent interior design overhauls

MILLA GRACE, BRIGHTON

N

ewly opened Milla Grace in Brighton boasts a fresh and clean interior with crisp white walls, wooden flooring, pretty artwork and a statement chandelier. Owners Vashikeh Miller and Lydia ColasurdoStanding created a space that “mirrors their homes” using furniture sourced from local antique markets that they’ve re-upholstered themselves. “We wanted to keep the store fresh and individual,” says ColasurdoStanding. “We’ve always has an obsession with going to markets and finding old furniture so our store is a mix of the old and new.” The pair enlisted the help of a builder friend who did the work for free while they paid for the materials. The cost of the re-fit came to around £1,000. “I think the main points to consider when designing a layout is the way the customer is going to walk around the store,” says the owner. “The lighting in the changing room is also important – it has to be flattering otherwise customers won’t feel comfortable getting undressed.”

remium denim indie Donna Ida modernised the interior of its flagship Chelsea boutique recently to maximise space and evolve with the changing market. “When I look back at old pictures of the store when it first opened in 2006, I realise how much the denim market has changed,” says owner Ida. “Designer denim has evolved and now on top of classic styles in traditional shades we now have the modern wardrobe.” The owner enlisted the skills of London-based design firm D Raw, which had previously worked on shop fits for her Belgravia and Guildford stores, to mastermind a reconfiguration of the layout. She says this has made the store feel “so much bigger” while also creating a new fresh and contemporary space. Key features include a new dressing room with plush pink carpets, a sweeping denim gallery that leaves customers in no doubt that they’ve “arrived at the ultimate denim destination” as well as high gloss floors and New York subway-style tiling. “The shop fit really represents the designer denim of today,” says Ida. “It is the luxurious pieces and finer details that finish the look off. I want to make shopping for jeans fun, and the new store is welcoming, easy to navigate and of course stacked full of advice from our style advisors.”

WOODIE AND MORRIS, CRANLEIGH

W

oodie and Morris in Cranleigh, Surrey, boasts a warm and friendly interior with distressed furniture, co-ordinating soft furnishings and painted floorboards. The store opened last year as a sister boutique to the company’s original unit in Haslemere. Inspiration was drawn from the original design – which is located in a former seventeenth century pub – before reworking it with a contemporary twist. Owner Mel Rollinson worked with the owners of a nearby interior design shop alongside a local craftsman to create the design of the first boutique. Using Woodie and Morris’s branding and logo, they used a mint green, coral and white colour scheme across curtains, exposed floorboards and farm kitchen style furniture. For the new Cranleigh shop, this idea was reworked with contemporary wooden flooring and fittings. “The new furniture was hand-built to our specifications or adapted from original pieces,” she says. “We have items displayed on two old painted dressers in Haslemere, whereas Cranleigh has similar units but with wheels for ease of movement and variable height shelves that are adaptable for merchandising.” When it comes to interior design, Rollinson says the most important thing to remember is practicality. “You need to showcase the products you sell, not the other way round,” she says. “And above all, choose furniture that’s adaptable.”

hen Nicola Scott wanted to re-brand her original boutique Bunty and Co, she relocated to the larger premises next door and created a new store identity. Paper Doll has taken on some of the same elements as the first store – which featured “French furniture and chintzy lampshades” – but with a more androgynous and rustic feel. The interior was designed entirely by Scott who drew inspiration from the store’s edit of Danish and Dutch labels. “I wanted to give it an almost industrial feel to let the clothes themselves do the talking, but I also felt it necessary to keep a cosy atmosphere,” she says. Scott completed the re-fit on a “real budget” and sourced most of the fittings from local vintage shops and local auctions. Most of the furniture came from the original boutique so the biggest costs were the electrics and decorating, which the owner completed herself with the help of family and friends. “My top tip is not to go mad on budget as it’s so easy to go overboard and spend a small fortune,” she says. “Source your furniture carefully, it’s amazing what you can find on eBay and at local auctions. Also re-cover lampshades, re-paint old furniture, change handles on drawers and upcycle. Getting local tradesmen to make your shop fittings will also save a lot of money and create something really bespoke to fit your space. They may even offer you discounted prices if you pass their details on when people compliment you on them. Use every corner of the space to maximise selling potential too – this is invaluable.”

Going live Introducing a new service that allows indies to create affordable and user-friendly websites

P

ierre Curtet from fashion agency Leap N Link, has launched a new low-cost website design service for boutiques. The service offers affordable noncommerce websites for indies – which can be created in a matter of hours – that can be managed and updated at no extra cost. “I realised that many indies are still without a web presence and this is largely due to worries about the cost of set-up and up-keep together with fear of complexity,” says Curtet. “With this in mind I have designed a website service that removes these hurdles.” He adds: “Let’s face it, not being

present on the web nowadays is as poor as not being in the phonebook. Another crucial factor is that communicating with customers is more important than ever and with the cost of sending mail shots now so high, email campaigns offer a free alternative.” For a flat fee of £499 + VAT or £21 + VAT per month (minimum two-year contract), boutiques receive: • Website name and initial set-up • Content management that can be updated online • A choice of colours • Automatic banners and images that can rotate at the top of the website • Automatic galleries displaying image collections

Italian style Womenswear brand Monari delivers Italian-made fashion with feminine silhouettes

T

he Monari fashion label was created to evoke the spirit of Italy. Created in 1986 following a summer in Tuscany, founders Renate and Bernhard Bosch drew inspiration from the local people’s “typical zest for life” and “colourful stylishness” to create a unique fashion brand. Building on the country’s reputation for high quality knitwear, Monari launched with an Italian-made knitwear range, which has since grown into a full collection. SHOP TALK

Special destination Maura Thomas has made her out-of-the-way business a destination store by specialising with authority. By Eric Musgrave

L

ocation, they say, is everything in retailing. So it’s a surprise to find that indie owner Maura Thomas has become a huge success out of being – to put it nicely – located in the middle of nowhere. Her store is in Meopham – a blinkand-you’ll-miss-it commuter village near Gravesend in Kent. The Parade is a line of shops that sits on the main through road and it is here in a double-fronted unit that the shop, Fashion Scene, makes an incongruous appearance alongside the local grocery store and florist. Yet the location is the key to Thomas’ achievement because she has made her business a specialist destination store. It was during the last bad recession in the early ‘90s that the immaculately turned-out owner decided to concentrate on a “recession-proof ” category and so switched from general fashion to mother-of-the-bride-and-groom and special occasion wear. Fashion Scene is now one of the biggest specialist shops in the South East, promising to supply everyone – whether their budget is £90 or £900. Thomas also operates three non-transactional websites including Motherofthebrideinkent.com. “We have been online for eight years and we now get about 80 per cent of our business from people finding our websites,” says Thomas. “We don’t make appointments because people feel pressured if they come at a fixed time, but we are open six days a week. I employ six sales staff – all aged over 45 years old so that the customers can relate to them – and we have two seamstresses to alter a garment if needed.” Offering a complete service and

taking away the need for the customer to go elsewhere is all part of Thomas’s business strategy. Fashion Scene stocks a small selection of relatively inexpensive shoes and bags and has a large range of hats and fascinators all especially made to match precisely the colour of the outfits that have been expertly bought in. The store’s selection of about 800 outfits is supplied by about a dozen brands including Condici, John Charles, Presen, Carina, Mascara, Veromia (new this season), Ronald Joyce, Sonia Pena, Cabotine, Zeila, Michaela Louisa and Gina Bacconi. Soulmates from the USA, meanwhile, is a new find from Thomas’s visits to Moda, Pure and the showrooms. “I don’t stock brands that you find in Bluewater, which is five-minute drive away,” says Thomas. “If a brand’s everywhere, we won’t stock it. Fit and value are important, of course, but sellthrough decides if it stays or if it goes.” Inside the store is a riot of pattern and colour, with the merchandise grouped by brand. And with all her experience, this live-wire retailer knows not to pre-judge anyone coming through the door. “With special occasion dressing, you can never tell what someone might be looking for,” she says. “We act like a true personal shopper and we encourage a customer to try lots of things on because it’s always for an important occasion. But I do hate it when they want something plain!” Thomas opened her shop in Meopham 32 years ago, but before that she spent 14 years with Allders, ending up buying dresses and suits for six department stores as far apart as Portsmouth and Chatham. Frustration with a lack of flair prompted her to go out on her own.

With a smart business head on her shoulders, Thomas has been a member of the Fashion Association of Britain and its predecessors from the early days, taking full advantage of the excellent card transaction fees and the free specialist help lines for retailers on matters such as rates, employment law and consumer legislation. It’s clear that Fashion Scene’s owner still has a passion for a business that has given her great job satisfaction. She is frustrated, however, that her annual sales just fall short of the magical total of 1,000 outfits. “I am well into the 900s most years, but I want to get into four figures one of these days,” she says. And the owner’s best bit of advice to any aspiring indie? “Whatever sector you work in, do it with authority. Don’t mess about.” And it’s certain that taking this approach is what put her on the road to success – right from the middle of nowhere. Fashion Scene is a member of the Fashion Association of Britain (FAB Fashionassociationofbritain.co.uk. June 2013 | boutique. | 53

SHOP TALK

“We cannot have businesses criticising others or indulging in schadenfreude at their collapse; we must all stand together” Gemma Ward meets Ambiance of Colchester’s Melissa Wheeler to talk business, retailing and saving the high street How is business at the moment? Dreadfully slow. All the patterns and seasons that we’ve traditionally guaranteed like-for-like sales on have been eclipsed by a virtual stasis. The footfall just isn’t there and it’s frightening when we are required to predict the next season as we forwardbuy.

What concerns do you have about the retail landscape? We worry that the unique point of difference that independents offer has been forgotten. In theory, wellread members of the public – if asked – may be able to mention a few key criteria that they value from an indie; but that voiced support does not necessarily convert into feet-in-thedoor and sales. The retail landscape has shifted so dramatically to favour online that customers have essentially become disconnected from the emotional aspect of shopping received from physically visiting a store. What concerns us is that we need to remind the public what they can get from us that cannot be found online. We also worry that indies are so wrapped up in their woes and fighting for survival that they risk forgetting one critical weapon on our side: unity. We cannot have businesses criticising others or indulging in schadenfreude at their collapse; we must all stand together.

How can indies help save retail? I think that remaining positive and 54 | boutique. | June 2013

believing in our offering is essential. When a customer steps inside the door, our positive energy about our collections must be palpable. We have the advantage of developing relationships with our customers on a first-name basis. As such, we can listen and learn what it is they want and how they want to shop. We have a flexibility to evolve not enjoyed by larger businesses, so we must maximise that ability to adapt. Ambiance sits on the committee of FAB and attended the Bira AGM conference last week. It’s clear that customers are deterred from shopping in the town centre due to parking fees so we have addressed this directly by offering to reimburse costs.

How has your store evolved with the changing economy? Evolution is the key to our survival. We have tweaked our brand offering and customised our promotional events to meet the lifestyle of our customers better over the past five years. Our mailing list clients wish to feel valued and special and so we have invested heavily in the old-fashioned customer service that they understand and which initially caused them to become repeat customers. We have been increasing our emailing list and gradually reducing our postal mailing list; this means we can offer more targeted offers, as email is so much more cost effective. We are all too aware that people are financially stressed and so we have made a

concerted effort to highlight the ‘sale room’ and discounted merchandise, especially in occasion wear.

What do you think is your biggest challenge now? Staying positive and making rational judgements when the pressure is on. It is hard to be pro-active and positive when doubt enters the mind and neither is easy to keep the staff morale buoyed. The fate of Coggles was a mind-blowing and very sad shock to the industry.

How will you boost the business? Ambiance is unique and we are currently being reminded of how important it is to value one’s roots and identity. We have been in business for 28 years so while it’s tough at the moment, we are buoyed by our longevity. In this age of technology, we sometimes have to go back to our roots. While these advancements are popular in the mainstream, we are not the mainstream and our customers appreciate being valued as individuals. They want the personal service they understand and they want to feel special when they shop with us. We plan to invest in customising our marketing by capturing data about our customers’ preferences and calling them with news that may interest them. We did this when we launched and will revert to that signature selling strategy again. This is what works for us and it’s what we’ll be focusing on.

“We have to stick together in these challenging times”

“B

Middlesbrough-based Kate Fearnley is the founder of her 12-year-old self-titled label

usiness is frantic at the moment: I’m designing the SS14 collections, producing AW13 and still finishing off production for SS13. It’s so late on because of the poor weather, which has meant a slow start to sales. We’re juggling all kinds of seasons at the moment; running a label definitely isn’t as straightforward as it used to be. “This season, after quite a few years, I made the decision to bring all of our production back in-house. I’m lucky to have a team of seamstresses who have worked with me since the label launched 12 years ago. We also have a small factory too so we’re able to create everything made to order on-site. “I decided to change the way the business was running to regain absolute control and also to help our stockists. The biggest issue facing many indies at the moment is having too much stock. It’s so sad; just one bad season can really damage the next and cause a domino effect. Now we are able to work together with indies by allowing them to place orders as and when they need to. Big companies can’t offer the same service whereas I have the ability to do it. “In an ideal world it would be better to outsource factory production, but I really wanted to work with our boutiques and help them as much as possible. We have to stick together in these challenging times. “The Kate Fearnley label is doing very well in Ireland. Occasion wear is huge over there and Irish boutiques 58 | boutique. | June 2013

make up around 80 per cent of the entire business. The majority of consumers ordering from our retail site are also in Ireland. It has really taken off over there. “For AW13 we have introduced a new day-to-night collection that sits alongside our occasion wear. It

starts from £129 – meaning the price point is more accessible – and we’ve already been getting great feedback from press and buyers. Summer is always going to be our busiest time as in winter occasion wear isn’t seen as a necessity. Also, in this climate, most consumers will go to the high street for a Christmas party dress, so we wanted to offer something different that would also appeal to their wallets. The quality hasn’t been sacrificed as I still have to

give people what they expect from the brand so it hasn’t been made cheaply; we’ve just made slight tweaks here and there – such as removing lining – to bring the price down. “The bridal side of the business is also becoming a big success. We offer a made to measure service for brides and bridesmaids and we have people coming from all over to visit us. We’ve also been popular with younger mother of the brides. “We’ve recently introduced a range of fascinators that match our dresses, which has been really popular. They retail for around £45 each so the price is accessible and customers can find the perfect ready-made accessory for their outfit. “I think the occasion wear market has been quite stable throughout the recession. It’s becoming almost impossible to compete with the high street on dresses for parties and nights out. But customers are still spending money on outfits for weddings and days out at the races - they’ll save up and invest in a couple of pieces each season. “For the future we’ll definitely be developing the bridal side of the business. Ultimately I’d like to become a one-stop-shop that offers fabric bouquets, bunting and complete matching outfits. “For the main collection, we’re already working on new separates such as jackets so the brand can evolve into a full range. This is set to launch for SS14, let’s hope the entire market is in a better position by then.”
