he team and I wish you a very warm welcome to the third edition of Event Buyers Live and the lovely surroundings of Heythrop Park Resort. the event gives you a great opportunity to share experiences, make new contacts and partake in interesting roundtable discussions and seminars; asking the questions that matter to you. time is money for each and every one of you, so please maximise your time with us over the next two days. If you do require anything during the event, please do not hesitate to contact one of the team who will be more than happy to help. You will always find one of the team at the information point or organiser’s office, which are both located in the main event space; the door will always be open.

Closing keynote John Probyn, managing director, NEC Live Productions John Probyn has been involved in producing live events since the late 80s and is now the managing director of nEc Live, a division of the nEc group in Birmingham. Probyn will deliver Event Buyers Live’s closing keynote session. Drawing on his own experiences, Probyn will look at the events and festivals marketplace and discuss future trends within the live events arena. ImPoRtAnt InfoRmAtIon Personalised itineraries Event Buyers Live is a unique event because each attendee receives a personalised itinerary. the organising team must, therefore, stress the importance of adhering to your allocated meetings, seminars and networking time. Please ensure you attend all the meetings that have been scheduled – this will facilitate a smooth and productive event for all involved. to keep the event running on time, please ensure your meetings do not exceed 25 minutes. If you wish to continue your discussion, there are additional opportunities to do so during the scheduled breaks, lunch, gala dinner and on day two. Please note: for various reasons, we may need to make a last minute change to your itinerary. We, therefore, kindly ask that during the event you review your itinerary. Late arrivals/Cancellations the organising team asks you to appreciate that unforeseen circumstances may result in the late arrival of delegates, or even last minute cancellations. once we are aware of late arrivals or cancellations, details of these delegates will be displayed at the information point. furthermore, if one of your scheduled meetings has not arrived, please visit the organiser’s office immediately where one of the team will be happy to assist you. Your experience the event team will be on hand at all times. The door to the organiser’s office, located in the main event space, will be open at all times so please do not hesitate to approach one of the team. Your gala dinner and champagne reception is styled around the history of the charlbury Bar foyer and so get your groove on at “the Jazz club – 1920s style”. Please wear name badges throughout the entire event, including the gala dinner, to ensure identification is possible at all times. Phone signals/Phone divert there is only a Vodafone mast nearby and as a result, signal inside the hotel is poor. to combat this, we ask that you please utilise the Wi-fi where possible. If you need to be contacted during the event in case of an emergency, please visit the organiser’s office. A “phone signal point” has been erected outside the main event space where you will find the signal is stronger for outbound calls. Wi-Fi Heythrop Park can accommodate up to 500 devices on its Wi-fi system at any one time. It is free to connect during the course of the event. sPEAKER PRofILEs Kyran Bracken Rugby World cup winner, former saracens captain and Dancing on Ice champion

Born in Ireland, Bracken could have worn the green of the Emerald isle, but as a baby moved to Liverpool and went on to win the Rugby World cup with the English rose on his chest in 2003. Bracken made his England debut against the All Blacks in 1993. During this highly competitive period, Bracken won 51 caps. His final England appearance came in the 2003 World cup against france. the former saracens captain retired from the game at the close of the 2005/06 season, but remains close to the sport. He has previously coached at Leicester tigers, and currently is contracted to coach/mentor the scrum halves at Premiership Champions, Harlequins. the opening keynote will see Bracken discuss how sports mentorship and business leadership are closely entwined and include anecdotes about his experience on the television programme – Dancing on Ice. famed for his entrepreneurial vigour, humour and intelligence – his opening is not one to be missed.
Adam Azor sVP, integrated and digital marketing Jack Morton Worldwide Based in the brand experience agency’s London office, Azor leads Jack morton’s integrated and digital marketing teams that work with leading brands including freeview, Heineken and Beiersdorf. Prior to joining Jack morton, Azor worked at Beattie mcguinness Bungay as head of brand experience. He began his career as cofounder of marketing agency Incognito Events in 1998 and went on to lead accounts at agencies including BD network, claydon Heeley and mediator communications. During his 20 years in the industry he has worked with many top brands including coca cola, Diageo, Virgin media, sony, 3 mobile, microsoft, orange and BBc children in need.

In addition to nurturing a number of high-level relationships with the moment’s current clients, his role is to help drive new business and spearhead the integration of experience-led campaigns. the moment believes that experience sits at the heart of all content and is an essential tool of engagement marketing that moves audiences to their purchase decision. glynn-Jones works with the moment’s clients to place content-led brand experience into their strategic plans. A regular speaker and a contributor to the industry media, glynnJones enjoys attending a diverse range of experiences and events, from music through to immersive theatre.
Sarah Proctor Head of content Wasserman Proctor joined Wasserman in 2012 to establish the content and show production department within the agency. Her background in live events and visual communications, combined with a passion for music and theatre, has led her to successfully spearhead a breadth of projects for sports properties, brands and governing bodies. Having worked in the industry for more than eight years, her highlights include delivering immersive theatrical experiences for HP product launches, content production for cirque du soleil and most notably the annual Barclays AtP World tour finals at the o2 in London – at which Proctor and her team produced more than 1,000 individual pieces of animated content. Proctor is known for her eye for detail and ability to creatively interpret and imagine any brief that may come her way. she passionately believes that content and show production is at the heart of creating memorable experiences and lasting memories for fans.

sPEAKER PRofILEs Mel Wilds Event production director and co-founder Continental Drifts Wilds is one of the founding partners of continental Drifts and has more than 20 years’ experience in live events. she is a highly experienced event manager, specialising in producing and consulting on a wide variety of live events, including Blackheath fireworks, LolliBop festival, We Are fstVL and Diwali. Wilds has also produced a number of events for the London Legacy Development committee (LLDc) including concept to catwalk, Winter at Queen Elizabeth olympic Park (QEoP) and the launch of mandeville Place. she has curated and produced several events at Kew gardens including the Incredible Edibles cookery workshops and demos, the global fiesta and the 2015 spice Kitchen. continental Drifts launched in 1996 and comprises event production, music programming and a performance agency, all under one roof. the company is also an Arts council England national Portfolio organisation for its world music programme – global Local.
Leslie Greenhalgh Event director Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series events greenhalgh’s professional life started out in marketing with Akzo nobel. she then moved to brand consultancy for Enterprise Ig and futureBrand. greenhalgh is currently the event director for the Louis Vuitton America’s cup World series events. greenhalgh heads up the tEAmoRIgIn Events team, which manages and delivers the events, working for sir Keith mills, chairman of tEAmoRIgIn Events. greenhalgh has worked for more than 20 years in the sailing industry – more recently with the commercial director for team Sanya, the Chinese entry in the 2011/12 Volvo Ocean Race. greenhalgh has been involved in two America’s cup teams – gBR challenge during the 2001-2003 America’s cup event where she was head of sponsorship and marketing; and then tEAmoRIgIn working for sir Keith mills between 2006 – 2010, as director of marketing and communications.

sPEAKER PRofILEs Gary Pitt founder Get In Bed Pitt is founder of brand partnership consultancy get In Bed, which represents events including Bestival, camp Bestival, cornbury, Barclaycard British summer time, sonisphere, Vans Warped tour, WomAD, summer in the city, Princes trust Palace to Palace and many more. Pitt has been messing about in fields with brands since before the Internet and has seen the landscape completely change. His career spans commercial roles at NME, Loaded, Worldpop, Cream/ Creamfields before going it alone in 2003.
Robert Dunsmore freelance Creative events professional As a client facing communications specialist, Dunsmore has more than 20 years’ experience re-imagining and creating new business across UK and global markets in the face-to-face meetings and marketing media. Dunsmore’s business development exposure covers B2B and B2c markets including technology, luxury, aerospace, energy, fashion, pharmaceutical, travel, financial, and automotive – as well as governmental and summit-based delivery. Dunsmore will host Event Buyers Live’s dedicated event technology roundtable.

sPEAKER PRofILEs Mike Richmond managing director Richmond Event Management Awarded Event organiser of the Year 2006, 2007 and 2009, Richmond, managing director of Richmond Event management (REm), has more than 26 years’ experience within the events and festivals industry. Richmond is also founder and director of the Event safety shop (tEss), and is duty event controller at glastonbury festival. He has been responsible for a host of large public events: Whether that be co-ordinating site management, logistics, production, design, and health and safety or more often than not these days representing clients, and REm, in Event control or silver meetings. Richmond will lead Event Buyers Live’s roundtable discussion on health and safety and production.
Ian Sullivan Chief executive officer Consorcio sullivan has publicly spoken at many trade media conferences around the EmEA region including DRUPA, IPEX, DPW, Packaging Innovations, fEsPA, north Print and Pack, cross media Live, the Home and gift show, Eventopedia, PoDI European Appforum and Event tech Live. He is a cross-media marketing specialist combining multi channels to market encompassing print, social media and digital media. for nine years, sullivan was the external examiner at the London college of communication (Lcc) for the fDA PP course and the BA Print management degree. He advises and presents at the Lcc on cross-media marketing techniques and also contributes to the BA Hons Degree in Public Relations, utilising digital media techniques. sullivan is now cEo of consorcio, an award-winning social media agency, providing social media management and training. sullivan will lead the event’s roundtable session on social media.

sPEAKER PRofILEs Jason Allan Scott Award-winning events professional, an entrepreneurial consultant, speaker, writer, contributor, start Up impresario, a founding mentor of fast forward 15, director of marketing at large for IsEsUK, member of mPI and founder of Venueme scott has worked alongside international and national companies and has been involved in pulling together the best creative ideas for a myriad of projects whilst working on creating more revenue opportunities and training for venues. scott’s strength is acting as a sounding board and problem solver for the client while defining the brand. current clients include an iconic London venue, the Bloomsbury Ballroom, the London cabaret club, the Event foundation, Event Academy, RAm org, and the Lifestyle Hospitality group, to name a few. He is also well known for his online persona, “Lord Jason scott” (@Penthouselord) through his columns, blogs and tweets as much as his speaking engagements and hosting of incredible events.
John Probyn managing director NEC Live Productions Probyn is now the managing director of nEc Live, a division of the nEc group in Birmingham. starting his early event career in commercial radio, Probyn was responsible for producing the majority of Party in the Park style events around the UK that were popular with most commercial radio groups in the 90s. In 1997, Probyn created Event Production and Safety Services (EPSS) and worked on many different events from music festivals and concert tours to product launches and conferences. In 2001, EPss became part of clear channel Entertainment (now Live nation) and in 2009, Probyn was appointed as chief operating officer for Live Nation Music UK and became responsible for the day to day running of the UK division and the delivery of all festivals, concert tours and special events. In 2015, Probyn was offered the chance to join the NEC Group to create a new live events division.
