Located behind Madeira Middle School, this 10-acre park features a range of sports facilities, including soccer and baseball fields, tennis courts, and a sand volleyball pit. It also provides areas for visitors to relax and enjoy the day with a picnic shelter, a concession stand, and playground equipment.

McDonald Commons

Located off Dawson Road, this is Madeira’s largest cityrun park. The 17-acre space contains sports amenities like baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, and plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation with a picnic shelter, playground equipment, and wooded areas. The city recently received a grant that will be used to purchase playground equipment for the park in 2023.

Nelle V. Hosbrook Bird Sanctuary

This two-acre park on Miami Avenue, located just a block from Madeira’s business district, caters to nature enthusiasts with its scenic wooded area, walking trail, bird feeders, and picnic area. Nelle V. Hosbrook, a nature lover and descendant of one of Madeira’s first settlers, willed the property to the city in 1975 so it could be turned into a bird sanctuary.
