Madeira High School
Madeira City Schools
This fall, Madeira City Schools celebrates nearly 100 years of putting quality education at the forefront with a unique mix of highly qualified faculty and staff, parent involvement, and an active community supporting students as they reach their full potential, both in and out of the classroom. Over the years, the district has ranked among the top in both the state and the nation in academic performance. In 2020, nearly 40 members of the senior class graduated with a GPA of 4.0 or higher and almost 90 percent of students took at least one Advanced Placement exam. In the last century, the district has committed to excellence, creating an environment that inspires learning and growth. As part of the Permanent Improvement Plan, the high school has completely renovated its Commons Building. Additionally, Medert Auditorium provided updated, state-of-the-art spaces used by both students and members of the Madeira community. Interested in lending a hand to help further the district’s mission? The Madeira Schools Foundation is entirely volunteer-based and ensures MCS students receive the resources and opportunities they need to excel. With an annual auction that has raised over $2 million in the past 20 years, the Foundation has provided scholarships, computer equipment, a science lab building, athletic facilities, and more.
