Recognising the hard work and dedication in the month of OCTOBER 2024

SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER AWARD

ACCENTURE

ALDERSGATE STREET - LONDON STEPHEN HAYFORD

Since Stephen has come on board fully with the Accenture contract, he has been a lynchpin and a true ambassador for CIS in his role. His professional demeanour and all round customer service is outstanding. Not one to sit back, he makes the effort and time to help others, whether that be the onsite CSR Team who are always busy with events or the client who needs a task completed at short notice, always keen to help and be a team player in every sense. Stephen is our eyes and ears due to his position at one of our satellite sites. Therefore, his communication is key, and he informs FCS Control or his line managers if there is anything untoward or any key information that needs to be passed on regarding the site and the surrounding area.

Senior onsite Client Manager Stated: “Steve is doing so well here at Aldersgate Street. Our office is being refurbished, and it is never easy doing an office share; there are inevitably some teething issues. But Steve has helped make it all easier. His warmth and kindness, along with his professionalism, have made him a big hit with our new office mates. Seeing him on the front desk has made our team feel more at home. We really are so lucky to have him as part of our front desk team. He is a very special man and fits with us just perfectly.”

In our monthly staff meeting Steven and the rest of the front desk team were nominated as “unsung heroes” for making the transition to the new building so seamless.

SAVILLS

PATERNOSTER SQUARE - LONDON

VICTOR GEORGE

Victor has excelled since being promoted to supervisor. His communication skills and diligence to his work have not only been commended by his Head of Security, but also the Client.

When dealing with numerous incidents, including a major oil spillage, which required multiple teams to clear, Victor showed the upmost professionalism and leadership.

The Customer stated: “We had a major oil spillage over the weekend. I wanted to mention how professional Victor was. He remained professional and helped out Ricardo and was on point with his communication.

This is a true example of what a supervisor should be and I felt very confident in leaving the Estate in his capable hands over the weekend.”

CITY POINT - LONDON

MICHAEL

SLATTERY

Recently, CityPoint has been inundated with VIP visits, which the security team is responsible for overlooking. These visits, which totaled more than 30+ hours during the previous month, consist of potential investors visiting various parts of the building, including occupiers’ floors, vacant floors, and common areas such as the car park/shower rooms.

Mike Slattery, the building’s Rear-of-House Manager, has been looking after these visits and is always very meticulous about assisting and ensuring that the tight deadlines with the occupiers are met. So much so that the building’s landlord received an email from the leasing agents thanking Mike for his assistance and willingness to ensure that the visits are always a success.

INCIDENT MANAGEMENT AWARDS

GVA

TEMPLE QUAY – BRISTOL RIDWAN ABDI & TAHA

HUSSAIN

SALEH

Ridwan and Taha had to deal with an incident on Temple Quay, which involved a serious assault with a weapon on a male. They both acted in a calm and professional manner in dealing with the incident and gaining evidence via their Body cameras. The male was hit over the head with a metal bar by one youth and fell to the floor where the second youth proceeded to stamp on him.

Taha and Ridwan were able to stop the assault and deal with the casualty whilst notifying the emergency services. The youths cycled off on their bikes. Due to their actions, the assault was stopped before something more serious occurred, and the police have good evidential evidence, including imagery showing the faces of the assailants.

CHUBB

LEADENHALL ST - LONDON LUKASZ KESIK

Excellent due diligence was demonstrated by Lukasz when two individuals (one male and one female) attempted to gain access to the building. They were challenged by Security Supervisor Lukasz, who was positioned on Leadenhall Street and prevented them from entering the building.

They immediately left the front of the building and proceeded to stick an Extinction Rebellion (XR) sticker to a piece of street furniture next to the building – Our security team has subsequently removed the sticker –However XR have been reportedly posting these stickers outside of target premises prior to the larger week of action which is due to take place later this month.

Lukasz prevented a security breach and potential disruption to the Reception and Broker Lounge.

FRUIT & WOOL EXCHANGELONDON

OSELEONOMHEN

EHIMHANRE (LINUS)

A masked individual forced entry into the building by pulling the doors open and breaking the mag lock. It took only a few seconds to get in, however, before the culprit could get anywhere in the building Linus ran out of the control room and challenged the intruder in the corridor. The intruder then ran out. Due to Linus’ quick reaction and decision to challenge the intruder he prevented a potential burglary.

COIN STREET COMMUNICITY BUILDERS

OXO TOWER – LONDON

NANA AMANKWAH

Nana ensuring he was wearing his Body Worn Camera, attended an alternation on site involving a member of another security company working on the Coin Street Site and an IC1 male.

A sensitive situation as for Nana, having a working relationship with one member of the party involved. The two parties were separated, with one being directed to a welfare room to calm down; the other being directed to leave site. Nana remained calm, acted in a professional manner, which resulted in a total defusing of the situation.

TEAM AWARD

CBRE

ONE CROWN PLACE - LONDON

DAVID WRIGHT

LOGISTIC SUPERVISOR

DANIEL PETTIFER

PATROL OPERATIVE

JHAN YOUSUF

FOH OPERATIVE

CHIJ SHRESTHA DSM

JEAN-YVES KOUASSI

LOADING BAY OFFICER

The Fire Alarm test was conducted at 09:00. The commercial passenger lifts were grounded as they should, however they then all went out of service. This prevented the tenants from being able to go up to their floors or down to leave the building. To make matters worse the tenant with the most square footage, had their CEO from America in the office hosting meetings and events throughout the day with hundreds of staff and guests needing access.

A plan was quickly put in place and the team implemented it; this meant the team would now need to be escorting people through the back of house areas to the fire lift. Positions were changed and the team had remained flexible with the plan evolving and changing throughout the day.

Feedback from our Tenant Facilities Manager: “I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the impeccable service you provided throughout the day despite the unprecedented situation. You managed the workload and pressure seamlessly, all while maintaining a positive attitude and a big smile on your face. Yesterday was one of the most important days of the year for one of our largest tenants , and thanks to your professionalism and hard work, everything ran smoothly. Your dedication played a significant role in making it a success. The entire Workplace Team is truly glad to have this partnership with you. We look forward to continuing this successful collaboration. Thank you once again!”

Due to the CEO being in the building, tensions were high among the tenant facilities team and the pressure was on to ensure a continued high level of service was provided. The lifts were out of service until 16:00, which meant it was along pressured day for the team, but they executed this perfectly.

230 BLACKFRIARS & MORELANDS

DUKE KUFUOR, ASEEM MOHAMMED, BANIA MBEKA, KWABENA OWUSU-DONKOR

Recently, one of the occupiers experienced an issue with one of their visitors; as a result of this incident, they informed the Security Team that the individual had been banned from coming to the office due to abusive and threatening behaviour. The individual arrived on site shortly after the email was passed on to Security, demanding to see the occupier. Duke was instrumental in ensuring some of the female tenant staff who happened to be collecting mail from reception moved away quickly. He then proceeded to calm the individual and sit down with him to talk about his issues.

Duke explained that he does not work for the occupier, so he does not have the means to rectify any issues he is experiencing. Once the individual was calm, Duke attempted to get assistance from the occupier. When this was not successful, he called the police. Unfortunately, they were not overly helpful. However, Duke managed to keep the individual calm right up until he exited the building. If it were not for Duke’s efforts, this situation could have escalated into a much more serious situation; his input was extremely crucial to resolving the situation calmly.

Aseem was made aware of an alarm triggered from the fire exit door leading into the bin store area. Upon investigation, Aseem found two males standing inside the lobby area just by the fire exit door. Aseem confronted the men and asked them what their business is in the building was; he was informed they were delivered to the site; when Aseem questioned the timing of the delivery and who they were delivering to, they retreated outside to the carpark area and became aggressive, warning Aseem not to follow them.

Aseem explained that the police had been called, at which point they hastily made a getaway. Unfortunately, they managed to get a small TV out and into their vehicle as Aseem made his way around to the exit. However, his intervention prevented the theft of two further larger TVs.

In the early hours of the morning, Bania reported a break-in he had noticed during his final building patrol. Unfortunately, the intruder had already vacated the premises. However, Bania contacted the police and was able to provide them with a potential timeframe of a 4-hour period during which this may have taken place, as he had checked this area on his previous patrol and did not detect any damage. Bania also contacted and informed the occupier, who arranged for contractors to board up the damaged door; Bania waited and secured the building, awaiting their arrival.

Kwabena Owusu-Donkor on site and did a great job of dealing with a trespasser who had to be escorted off site. He used the power of hello, handled things quickly and efficiently. There have been many issues relating to site plant and other works around site which the team have been at the forefront of on many occasions, they have however continued to offer an excellent customer service to not only incoming occupiers but also our existing occupiers.

Customer: “I wanted to highlight this as it is an exceptional performance and shows how well they work together to ensure the demands of our occupiers are met where feasible and all are happy with the level of service provided”

Occupier: “Last week, when we were completely up against it trying to finish everything to successfully reach our PC on Friday, they could not have been more accommodating or helpful. It was bedlam at times with Contractors and deliveries, but they were extremely understanding and assisted us greatly in ensuring we got over the finish line!

I have thanked them myself already, but I wanted to make it official – you obviously have a very good customer facing, helpful team on site, and I am very much looking forward to working with them going forward.”

REGENT QUARTER - LONDON

FRANCIS DESOUZA, MOHMED ISLAM, AMOS BEHARRY, IBRAHIM ABDULLAHI & OZGUL HASSAN

A very large group of Football Fans from PSG Club, over a hundred of them, stormed into Cottam House, claiming that they wanted to use the Toilet Facilities, causing fear and intimidation to Cottam House staff members. The Security Team spotted this chaos on CCTV and immediately, Francis Desouza took Amos & Mohamed along with him. Together they went over to Cottom House and successfully removed all the PSG football fans from the building. They then stayed at Cottam house giving it a heavy Security presence to ensure that the intruders could not come back into the building.

The Security Team spotted on CCTV, two individuals attempting to break into flats at Copperworks Courtyard, an IC1 male & an IC1 female. When they seemed unsuccessful, they then proceeded to the bin store and stole one of the cleaner’s jet-washing machine. Amos Beharry and Ibrahim Abdullahi, responded promptly and rushed over to Copperworks to challenge the individuals, retrieved the cleaning machine, and then escorted these individuals off-site. DSM Ozgul Hassan, monitored these on CCTV keeping lines of communication with our Officers via the Radio to ensure their safety.

MAPP – LONDON BRIDGE CITY

DANEL WILLIAMS, TONY SMITH, ABDIRAHMAN ABDILLAHI & DEREK BATEMAN

Control Room noticed a police foot chase developing on the Estate. With clear communication from the control room allowed the Security Team to mobilise and “box” the suspect in; with SO Tony Smith intervening and managing to detain the male until the arrival of the British Transport police.

Tony Smith conducted a search of the area to see if the male had discarded anything and found a knife on the other side of the wall.

The male was arrested and the feedback from the British Transport police was full of praise for the teams’ actions.

This is excellent work by the team, demonstrating the alertness of the Control Room and the exceptional communication and Teamwork by Officers, using their own instincts to complete a sweep of the area which resulted in a took a knife being taken off the streets.
