The Arts play an important role in the balanced life of Trafalgar Castle School students. Students enjoy a full life outside of the classroom that includes a variety of musical opportunities. We believe that the Arts are fundamental to each student’s emotional, social and academic well-being as they deepen relationships and build connections across the classroom, the school and the community.
Over one-third of Trafalgar students from all grades are involved in co-curricular music ensembles. Those vocal and instrumental ensembles include Castle Band, Castle Singers, Lower School Choir, Class Choirs, Flute Choir, Clarinet Ensemble, String Ensemble, and Brass Ensemble.
Student performances take place throughout the year at both school and community events including Remembrance Day, Holiday Market, Winter Concert, Holiday Music and Reception, Arts Night, May Court Festival and Trafalgar Day. In collaboration with our Visuals Arts department, our music students also play an integral role in Trafalgar’s musical production that takes place in March. Our students are also excited to perform in several festivals each year, including many students in today’s CISMF performances.
