Located in central Toronto, Upper Canada College delivers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme, providing transformational learning experiences for boys from Senior Kindergarten through Year 12 in an exceptional day and boarding environment. Arts at UCC consist of visual, musical, and theatre arts and film studies. Students will explore choir, ukulele, recorder, Orff, and instrumental programs, not to mention composition techniques and historical studies. Co-curricular arts programs at UCC include 4 Concert Bands, 5 Jazz Ensembles, 2 Wind Ensembles, 3 Choirs, and a string ensemble. There are also numerous theatrical musical sessions, including Adventures of a Comic Book Artist (Year 7) and multiple plays throughout various year levels. UCC ensembles take part in numerous on and off-campus performances. Highlights this year include Festival of Carol Service, Blue Note Jazz Cafe, Montreal Jazz Trip (Senior Jazz) and International Festival Participation in the Heritage Music Festival (Year 7–12).
The Year 4–7 choir and Upper School instrumentalists are very proud to be part of this year’s CISMF.
