Dear Junior Branch World,
IJBC has always been the space for JBers to share their experiences, ideas, and thoughts on Junior Branch today and innovate to build our Junior Branch tomorrow. We are excited to present to you IJBC 2023 in Querétaro, Mexico from July 31 to August 5 2023!
2022 has witnessed JBers across CISV levels picking up the pieces and recovering our communities. It is even more important now that we represent our greatest strength of unity to march forward together. We hope that all JBers participating in IJBC take this great opportunity to critically evaluate our current situation, challenge our perspectives, and take risks, in order to strengthen the future of our Junior Branch and CISV.
This Info Pack includes the first elements of what you can expect from IJBC 2023 in terms of the campsite, transportation, registration, and costs. There will be more Info Packs with further information about the content of the conference, the facilitator team, and other final details.

2023 Homestaff
LOCATION
This year, a magic place called Ágora will be the loction for IJBC. This beautiful, spacious campsite is nestled in the Fraccionamiento Pirámides neighborhood of Corregidora, Querétaro, and will serve as our home base for the duration of the conference. The site is equipped with all necessary amenities, including comfortable accommodations, dining facilities, and recreational areas. We cannot wait to experience all that Ágora has to offer with you!

TRANSPORTATION

From Querétaro Intercontinental Airport (QRO): Take a taxi or an authorized transportation service to our venue, Espacio Ágora. The journey should take 20-25 minutes.
From Mexico City International Airport (MEX):
1- Take a direct bus to Querétaro. Available bus services include Primera Plus and ETN. The ride is 3-4 hours.
2- From the Querétaro bus station, take a taxi or an authorized transportation service to Espacio Ágora.
*Note: We recommend booking your flight to MEX instead of Felipe Angeles International Airport (NLU) due to MEX's more convenient location!
From Mexico City:
1- Take a taxi or an authorized transportation service to the Terminal de Autobuses del Norte (North Bus Terminal).
2- At the terminal, purchase a bus ticket to Querétaro; Several bus options are Primera Plus, ETN, and Flecha Amarilla. The journey takes 3-4 hours.
3- From the Querétaro bus station, take a taxi or an authorized transportation service to Espacio Ágora.
DELEGATION
Age requirements: 15-25 years old on July 31, 2023
For 15-17 years old participants: If your Chapter is asked to wait for advice from Risk Managers before booking flights for IJBC, please hold off booking your travel until your Chapter is advised to do so
Delegation size: For the first round, each NA/ PA receives two slots of participation!
Round 2 will open after with possibly more slots distributed, so don't worry if there is more interest in your JB and you have already run out of registration space.
IJB Team/ Regional Team member and IJBC facilitator's registrations do not count towards the delegation size of their home country!

Singup for IJBC will be on the IJB website: https://ijb.cisv.org! The link, once published, will be sent to NJRs.
Once you receive official confirmation of your registration through email, please fill out the relevant forms on MyCISV account: https://mycisv.cisv.org

Do you need a VISA?
Check with your national authorities and your country's Mexican embassy if you need a visa in addition to your passport to come to Mexico. If you need an invitation letter for your visa application, let us know ASAP.

It's important to plan your trip in advance, especially during peak travel seasons. Check for any travel restrictions or health measures in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

COST
The fee for IJBC 2023 will be €190 for early registration (insurance and travel not included). ¡The more participants register and pay, the likelier the = fee will be reduced! There will be two rounds of registration:
Round 1: March 27 - April 17 €190
Round 2: Pending, €200
Travel Insurance
Every participant needs to have CISV travel insurance to attend IJBC. The CISV rate for this event is £32, your NA/ PA will be charged €190 or €200 for participation fee and £32 for insurance. For 2023 only: if you purchased private travel insurance prior to Feb 1, 2023 that would cover IJBC, contact safety@cisv.org to be exempted from the insurance charge. Please refer to the 2023 Insurance FAQ for more information.

PAYMENT PROCEDURE
1- Transfer the due amount to your National Association or Promotional Association.
2- Confirmation of participation will be sent to participants, NJRs, NA Representatives, National Secretaries and National Treasurers to ensure all parties are aware of the need to pay the participation fee.
3- Based on the official participation list, each NA/ PA will receive an invoice for its delegation's fees.
4-There will be no cash payment at the campsite or bank transfer to CISV Mexico.
