The Rotary Club of Orinda

The Rotary Club of Orinda is part of a global network of 1.4 million who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change.

Orinda Rotary will celebrate its 75th birthday in 2024, and not a day goes by without the chance to see the impact of their work. You can see Orinda Rotary’s contributions in the Orinda Nature Area, the gazebo in the Community Center Park, 70 years of Rotary Field Day, the Spring Egg Hunt, Opera in the Park, and many more. Members volunteer at the food bank, drive for Meals on Wheels, provide scholarships for Miramonte students, and tutor in Oakland. They touch the world as well. Orinda Rotary has put solar panels on a hospital in Zimba, Zambia, where we also helped build and supply a community library. We’ve brought solar-powered streetlights to Haiti where no electric lighting was before and supplied emergency vehicles to small towns in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. Rotarians are people of action. For 74 years and counting, our members have ben leaders in Orinda. They join for the comradery, great programs, social events, and ability to work together with friends and neighbors to contribute to Orinda and the world around us.
