Our program offers range-of-movement exploration activities where a child can climb, hang, jump, balance and bounce. In this healthy environment, parents offer positive, encouraging, and helpful feedback. A skilled staff member is always on hand to assist. The equipment is rearranged each week to provide a new challenge. Parents are required to have infants in packs. Siblings are only allowed in class if registered. Child must be walking. Use make-up book in the Kindergym for missed classes due to illness or class cancellation. Prior to participation, a Hold Harmless form and information sheet must be completed.

Social / Ballroom Dance Chris Mehling
Enjoy the fun of social dance! Whether there are weddings, parties, or cruises in your future or you just want to get out and move, this class is for you. If you are new to partner dancing, Chris Mehling and, her partner, David Kelso’s relaxed teaching style makes it easy to learn the skills needed to dance well and have a great time in any social situation. Continuing students know that there are always new steps to learn and new ways to become better leaders and followers. In addition to dancing with your own partner, learn the necessary lead-and-follow skills more quickly by exchanging dance partners several times during each class. Basic: Focuses on the basic steps of selected dances and the fundamental body mechanics necessary for all dancing. Singles should come to the first class to be paired with other singles before they register. Intermediate: Introduces the continuing student to more advanced moves and variations. Experienced dancers find that working with beginners sharpens their own lead-and-follow skills, and often enjoy taking both classes. Intermediate class participation requires approval of instructors. Partners are required at registration. Hard-soled shoes with either leather or plastic soles are recommended. Location: Community Center, Founders Auditorium BASIC: WEST COAST SWING & SALSA
