Kids ’N Dance
Children of all abilities are proud to be a part of our polished mini-productions of musicals that are fun, challenging, and engaging. Cast members learn to develop character, vocal technique, presentation, and dance skills. The Orinda Little Theater (4–8 year olds) sing, dance and perform a short play. The Youth Theater presents plays lasting about 40 minutes with about 4–6 songs, and the cast for 8–14 year olds present plays lasting about 1½ hours with 10–12 songs. Participants are expected to independently study their lines, songs, and blocking (as scheduled) and to attend all rehearsals. Parents support the quality of our productions by committing a required six hours of time (for a $60 fee you may opt out of doing the work and Kids ’N Dance will hire someone to take your place). Most costumes are supplied, but parents are required to provide the basics. Please have child prepare a song for the first day of class (except for Orinda Little Theater). Children do not have to know how to read for the Orinda Little Theater shows. Please read refund policy carefully; absolutely no refunds or credits are issued once this program begins. Additional charge for show tickets. Show days and times are subject to change. No class 1/19, 2/16, 2/17, 5/25, 5/27, 5/28 Annie!! Our outstanding tennis coaching staff introduce the game of tennis to children in a fun and encouraging environment. We teach eye-hand coordination, foot work, basic strokes, while emphasizing having fun. More advanced skills and techniques are covered for older and more advanced students. In the case of rain, classes are rescheduled or participants may make-up in other classes. Small class sizes! Additional $10 material (ball) fee payable to instructor at first class.
Mini-Monkeys Tennis is the very beginning of a child’s introduction to the great sport of tennis! Players will develop the motor skills and hand-eye coordination necessary to become a successful tennis player. We use smaller nets, smaller courts, the low compression red balls, and encourage using smaller racquets to make learning tennis easier and more fun! Tee Ball Ages 4–5Y OYA Tee Ball is the entry sport to baseball and softball for young players, generally 4–5 years old. The elimination of pitching allows children to participate without the fear of being hit by a pitched ball. Tee ball develops the primary baseball skills of hitting, running, fielding and throwing. Ages 4–7Y OYA Spring soccer is back! This fast and furious format differs from the OYA Fall Program in that: games are played with less players on the field (3 v 3 for U6, and 5 v 5 for U8); teams are smaller to increase individual playing time; and goalies are not used to encourage more scoring with emphasis placed on players developing their skills in dribbling, passing, shooting and open field defense. 30-minute practice followed by 30-minute games, Sunday mornings and afternoons. Now that your dog understands basic obedience let us help you move on to the next step. Our off-leash preparation classes teach your dog hand signals and voice control from a distance of twenty feet. Our goal is to help you train your dog to walk nicely at your side with your hands off the leash, drop to a down from a distance, come to heel position, and other behaviors that are invaluable for the family dog, those who wish to go on toward agility training, hunt work, or search and rescue. Please bring a copy of your dog’s vaccination records for the instructor to keep. Minimum age limit for the handler is 16. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

This class is designed for people of all ages and fitness levels and is ideal for those in need of deep rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. All levels welcome.
We learn to meditate by using a variety of guided visualizations, and different exercises for relaxation, breathing, and concentration. This helps us discover how to quiet the mind.
