Daily Meal Programs

Congregate Lunch

Served daily from 11:30 a.m. –12:30 p.m. Recommended contribution for participants is $3; guests under 60 is $5. Reservations are required and may be made up to two days in advance. Menu is available online.

Home Delivered Meals

Provided to individuals who are home bound. It is recommended that home delivered meal clients contact the Area Agency on Aging Senior Help-Line at 602264-HELP (4357). In addition, the Buckeye Senior Program offers private pay home delivered meals for residents aged 60+ for a cost of $5 per meal.

Senior Classes

Silversneakers Classic

SIlverSneakers Classic focuses on strengthening muscles and increasing range of movement for daily activities. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing and a ball are used along with a chair for support. Equipment is provided. Class size limited to 20 participants. Participants will need to provide their own water. Join us and let’s stay active!

Line Dancing At Buckeye Senior Center

Build your confidence on the dance floor as you learn fun line dance routines! Registration required.

ENER-CHI

Fitness focusing on steps that improve balance,core muscles, fall prevention, and movement with confidence. A chair is provided for support.

Cardio Drumming

Cardio drumming is a full body work out that will leave you smiling, sweating and feeling energized! We use a stability ball, sticks and a bucket to create one of the most fun workouts you will ever experience! Class size limited to 20. Registration is required.

Bring your best bluff because poker is back!

Paint Class

Join us as we walk you through from start to finish in creating your own painting. No painting experience required! In this class we make fun art not fine art! Registration is required. Supplies included.

Bingo

Registered Buckeye Senior Program participants are invited to join us for Bingo. Registration is required as seats are limited. You may register in person or over the phone.

Billiards And Fitness Equipment Room

Join us for a friendly game of pool. If instructorled classes aren’t for you, we have a nicely equipped fitness room.

Senior Power Hour

High intensity work out with a senior citizen focus emphasizing on improving strength, flexibility and endurance.

Babytime – Ages Birth to 23 Months

Plant the roots of language and grow an early love of reading with your baby. Reading with your child builds their concentration, develops their listening and memory skills and strengthens your relationship.

Spark your child’s imagination and curiosity with our weekly Storytime. Reading and sharing stories can assist in fostering a stronger vocabulary, improving literacy, and enhancing social skills.

Jitterbugs – Ages 2 to 5 (In place of Storytime)

Did you know singing helps children hear the more subtle sounds in words? That’s why we offer a Storytime designed to develop language, social confidence, and spatial awareness through storytelling with song and dance.

Beach Day (In place of Storytime) – Ages 2 to 5

It’s Beach Day at the library! Join us as we explore Beach themed stories, songs, sensory activities, and have fun!

Sensory Storytime – Ages Birth to 5

(In place of Babytime and Storytime)

Experience open-ended sensory play through activities to learn and stimulate the senses. Talking with your child while doing hands-on activities helps develop language and motor skills at the same time!

Read Better Be Better – 2nd to 4th Grade Readers

(To be a Teen Leader, see the Tweens & Teens section) Would you like your child to become a more confident reader and learn to have fun practicing reading skills? Come to the library where they will work with a Teen Leader on becoming a more confident reader and build up their reading comprehension skills. We will meet every Monday and Wednesday, for 8 weeks. Stop by either the Downtown or Coyote Branch to fill out an application.
