KIDS The B.A.S.E. program provides a safe and exciting place for children enrolled in Kindergarten – 8th grade, to be in out-of-school time. The mission of the Kid’s B.A.S.E. program is to provide an environment that keeps youth safe while preparing them for success. Our creative programming will enhance self-confidence, self-expression, social skills and cognitive skills while keeping youth physically active. B.A.S.E. is located at various campuses in Buckeye and regulated by the Arizona Department of Health Services. Program sites are open on early release days; however are closed on national holidays or when school campus is closed. Program accepts DES funding; if fee assistance is needed please contact the Department of Economic Security at 623-925-0095.

Children must be enrolled in grades K-8th in the Buckeye or Saddle Mountain Elementary School District. Registration packets include an emergency contact form, discipline policy and packets are available online at buckeyeaz.gov/ youthprograms or at either of our recreation centers. A copy of the child's immunization records must be submitted at time of registration along with registration fee plus first week of care. All registrations must be completed 48 hours prior to start date.

To fish in Buckeye, a valid Arizona fishing license or combo hunt/fish license is required. Children age 9 and under do not need a fishing license.

How to Register for Recreation Programs ONLINE REGISTRATION Go to buckeyeaz.gov/rec Click the registration button Locate the button at the top of any page. Clicking it will redirect you to an external site to initiate the registration process. Ensure you have an online account before registering for any programs.

Log in or create an account • Enter your username and password, then click "login." If you don't have an account, choose "Create account." • When creating an account, be sure to select "Add member" to include additional members in your household. Participants must be added during account creation for sign-up options to be available.

Search for programs and register • After logging in, use the search option to find programs by category, keywords, or activity number. • Once you've chosen a class, click the green plus sign, then select "Add to Cart" at the bottom of the screen. Add family members and continue shopping as needed. • Click "Proceed" to check out and pay for your selected programs.

REFUND POLICY: All program cancellation/refund requests must be submitted at lease 4 days prior to the start date of the program unless otherwise noted. Cancellation requests due to medical reasons not submitted 4 days in advance are required to provide documentation to receive pro-rated refund. All requests are subject to $2 cancellation fee.

CO-ED SOFTBALL LEAGUE Let’s get dirty! Season includes double-header round robin league play with a post season singleelimination tournament. Teams will play two game times per night with no new inning started after 50 minutes of accelerated play (each batter starts with a one and one count). Teams may have a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 18 players on their roster. Rosters must be complete at time of registration. Mandatory Manager's meeting is March 20th at 6 p.m. at TBD. Open Team Registration starts March 11: Residents $400 / Non-Residents $425 (Teams must consist of 60% Buckeye residents must have proof of residency such as valid ID or utility bill at time of registration for 60% of team members to receive Resident rate). SPORTS YOUTH SOCCER AND FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE (CO-ED) Participation in youth sports has proven to build self-esteem, promote teamwork and develop the body as well as the mind. This program emphasizes FUN and de-emphasizes winning at all costs. Every child is guaranteed playing time and the game is taught in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Team formulation is created on a first-come, first-served basis according to age and nearest school. Practice times, days, and locations are determined by the head volunteer coach.
