Parks and Recreation Department Have fun with us the Cedar Hill way! The Cedar Hill Parks and Recreation Department has a variety of specialized programs for everyone that is sure to get you up and moving! We offer athletic leagues for adults or youth at various athletic facilities; activities for our Active Seniors at the Cedar Hill Senior Center; Aquatic programs or swimming at the Crawford Park Pool; numerous Special Events, or you can sign up for a program or membership at our award winning Alan E. Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center. Our outdoor space includes over 32 parks and trails, ideal for your outdoor adventure, daily workout, or rental for your family gathering.

Citywide Neighborhood Block Party & Recreation Center 11th Anniversary Start the day off participating in a community walk on the Red Oak Creek trail benefiting Cedar Hill Shares. Then visit with local organizations, take a tour of the Recreation Center, watch performances by programs offered at the facility, enjoy kids activities with the family such as a game truck, petting zoo and bounce houses, food trucks, health fair vendors, and much, much more! The Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with Church on the Hill invite you to enjoy an Easter egg hunt for children ages 10 and under, food and family friendly entertainment. Get your Easter baskets ready and watch as eggs fall from the sky via helicopter to the fields below. Afterwards snap your photo with the Easter bunny! New this year, an exclusive East B-egg hunt for your furry friend. Walk the Light Arts Festival featuring Kids on the Hill Creative Arts
Held in Historic Downtown Cedar Hill, Walk the Light Arts Festival is an all day free festival featuring artists of various genres, including performing arts, glass work, handmade jewelry, culinary arts and more. Kid Fish Tournament
Bring your fishing poles, rods and reels, and come experience the joy of fishing. Bait and tackle will be provided along with a limited number of fishing poles (on a first come first serve basis).
