CLEARWATER ARTS CENTER & STUDIOS

ART CLASSES FROM THE CABARRUS ART GUILD:

Cabarrus Art Guild, a 52-year-old Concord organization, became a tenant of ClearWater in late 2019. Since the Pandemic has eased, the Guild’s leadership and energetic membership are ramping up classes. These classes are posted both on the guild‘s website, cabarrusartguild.org and ClearWater‘s website clearwaterartists.com; they feature local artists, and registration procedures are handled by the artist teachers and the Guild; see online listings for instructions. The Guild also hosts a midday meeting / coworking session of artist members once a week, on Tuesdays; and, every second Sunday of the month (with some exceptions) they present a free Art Demonstration. Most of these are held in our Greenway Gallery on the lower level

CLEARWATER’S MAIN GALLERY: GUEST ARTIST EXHIBITIONS

ClearWater‘s Main Gallery is presenting some exciting Guest Art exhibits this year. We are hosting the annual showcase of student art by Rowan Cabarrus Community College (RCCC’s) Art and Design students – ‘Impulse’ – in April. It returns for the first time since the COVID-19 Pandemic, continuing this six-year partnership.

Other exhibits coming will include the Charlotte Art Collective, the NC Watercolor Society/Western Region, and the Cabarrus Art Guild (Fall Judged Show at end of the year). Each show includes an Opening Reception and the Artist Talk, along with potentially an additional presentation or related workshop or art demo for the public. If you would like to propose a Guest Artist exhibit, email ClearWater Coordinator Sarah Gay, or call 704-920-6600. Keep abreast of new developments, classes, exciting events, and what the ClearWater artists are doing with our social media, as well as our newsletter!
