Golden High School
There are gains for all our losses , There are balms for all our pain : But when you th , the dream. departs, It takes something from our hearts , And it never comes again .
We are st r onger and are better Under manhood ' s ste rn er r eign, Still we feel that something sweet Followed youth, with flying feet . And will never come again
Something beautiful is vanished And we sigh for it in vain: We behold it eve r y\vhere, On the ea rth and in the air , But it never comes again!

Und e r th e tutelage of a new co ach . the Golden Demons ' football team completed a fairly suc cess ful f oo tball season Our team lost two , won one. and tied four The last two games of th e season. Wheatridge , and Lak ewood, were forfeited by us due to a " flu " epidemic. In th ei r first conference game 'Tailba ck Bradl ey and Fullback Rice kept u s in the running \vith a ti e score with Arvada 6 -6. I n their second game , \Vith four inches of snow on the g r oun d the Demons held and outp la ye d the highly touted Lakewood team . but tied again. 0-0. In the next game Golden was nosed out by Littleton 12 - 6. \vith Maughan. Bradley and Hall er making them pay d ear Iy. In th e l as t game of the fir st round Golden again r ece ived a tie at the hands of the
Aurora t eam Ri ce and Hall er \ver e absent during this game and \V e certainly needed them . Golden started its second round by pasting Arvada 26-0. With eve ry one in the backfield scoring, Go ld en had a field day, but 1n their next game once again Littleton beat us , 6 -0 . In the final game of the SE"aso n once again Golden and Aurora tied . 6 - 6
The team feels much of the c r edit for this yea r 's success should be given to Cap tain Hugh Bradley for his exce ll ent decisions and spectacu lar playing .
