The second draft of the Golden Zoning Code update is anticipated to be released in the first two weeks of June. New feedback opportunities will be available at www.guidinggolden.com/zoning-code-update for specific inclusions in the second draft.
Proposals received from firms interested in working with the City to create a racial equity plan have been narrowed to six. Preview the proposals and give us your feedback at www.guidinggolden.com/striving-for-racial-equity. The JEDI Subcommittee will consider community feedback when they present a recommendation to City Council in June.
KINNEY RUN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT The Kinney Run Improvement Project is a Public/Private Partnership between the City and Molson Coors for improvements to the Kinney Run Flood Plain Area on the east side of Ford Street in downtown Golden, between 14th Street and Clear Creek. This project is related to the G150 project, and there will be trail and street closures in the area from Spring - Fall 2021. Please follow the page and sign up for updates for information on closures and the work being done.
THE FUTURE OF THE ASTOR HOUSE The Historic Preservation Board reviewed the Foothills Art Center plan for rehabilitation of the Astor House on May 3 and continued the discussion to their June 7 meeting. You can view the FAC proposal and recommendations for revisions from City staff and HPB at www.guidinggolden. com/astor-house-future and give us your feedback.
