Required: Completion of “Beginning Pottery” or intermediate pottery experience

Ceramic Figurative Busts

Challenge Level 3-5

Create a ceramic representation of yourself or others! Work from a live-cast using plaster gauze, build off a press-mold foundation or just begin sculpting to capture facial features and explore personal narrative . Students will create a hollow form through slab construction and leave with a personalized work of art Course fee does not include the cost of clay or additional drop-in time.

Required: Intermediate hand-building experience

Hand Building For Sculptural Work

Challenge Level 1-5

Focus on hand-building methods, such as slab and coil building with an emphasis on sculptural work . Create forms with function or explore new shapes and techniques to create unique works of art Instruction and demonstrations will be based on each student’s interest Hand-builders only. Course fee does not include the cost of clay or additional dropin time.
