Inst ctional / Athletics Archery

Class Fee: $46.00 (Resident) $53.00 (Non Resident)
Take the skill learned in our target-style Archery Workshop to a whole new level with the club for ages 9 - 18. Participants will use state of the art equipment deigned to fit every individual. Archers will have an opportunity to practice and hone their skills, post weekly scores throughout 10 classes and participate in an end of the year club tournament. The club will be structured and follow the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP). Range time will be held Mondays from 4pm - 5pm, Sept. 12th through Nov. 14th. After the first class, specific shooting times will be established.
Riflery
Riflery Fees: $34.00 (Resident) $40.00 (Non-Resident)
Designed for ages 8 to adult. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings at 5:30, 6:30 (& 7:30pm only if earlier classes fill) OR Thursday evenings at 4:30 & 5:30pm. Classes will be held at the Manitowoc County Sheriffs Dept. Range, 1025 S. 9th Street. Additional rounds may be purchased for $.50/ 10 rounds. Session 1—October 5— December 15, 2016 (no class Nov. 24) Session 2—January 4—March 9, 2017
Rifle Team
Team Fees: $68.00 (Resident) $80.00 (Non-Resident)
Fall/Winter team practice will be held on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm at the Manitowoc County Sheriffs Department Shooting Range. Rifles and shooting jackets are provided. Fee covers entire season, which runs October 6-December 15, 2016 and January 6-April 13, 2017. Please discuss with instructor at Riflery Class. (no practice Nov. 24) This is an invitation only team.
Jr. Lifeguard Training
Lifeguard Fees: $29.00 (Resident) $36.00 (Non-Resident)
Junior Lifeguarding is designed for youth 11 years of age, or who have completed 5th grade, through 14 years of age to build a foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills for future lifeguards. Participants are not required to master or perfectly execute skills. They will build stamina and learn techniques and skills utilized in the Lifeguarding Course, basic responsibilities of a lifeguard, and communication and decision making skills. Prerequisites: Front crawl 25 yds, with rotary breathing, breaststroke 25 yds, tread water for one minute. Submerge and swim a distance of 10 ft underwater, back float for 30 seconds, elementary backstroke or back crawl for 25 yds. Classes will be held at Wilson Jr. High School on Saturday mornings at 11:00am. October 1-November 19, 2016. (Class is 50 minutes in length.) Golf Clinic Fee: $22.00
Youth Golf Clinics
(Resident & Non-Resident)
This two day class is designed for ages 5-12 years & 13-18 years. Day one will be instruction on the driving range working on grips, swings, chipping and putting. Day two will put the skills learned into practice, by playing nine holes of golf on the course. Clinic includes instruction, medium bag of range balls, and nine holes of golf. Classes will be held at and provided by CNC Links, 4935 County Road C, Manitowoc. Club rental is available for an additional $4.00 fee for junior set (limited amount available) and $10.00 for an adult set. Clinic will run on Saturday, September 17 and 24. Golfers aged 5-12 years will meet from 8 -10 am. Golfers aged 13-18 years will meet from 10am-12pm. CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED.

Swimming Lessons
Swim Fees: $29.00 (Resident)
Infant Aquatic Program Designed for youth 6 months to 3 years of age. A parent or adult is required to be in the water. Classes will be held at Riverview School on Monday evenings, October 3-November 21. Classes are 30 minutes in length and will be held at 5:15pm & 5:45pm. Tot Aquatic Program Classes offered for children 3 - 5 years of age. Parent/adult is required to be present, but does not enter the water. Classes will be held at Riverview School on Monday evenings, October 3November 21. Classes are 30 minutes in length and will be held 6:15pm & 6:45pm. Home Alone/Babysitting Classes
Class Fees: $38.00 (Resident) $45.00 (Non Resident)
This comprehensive class is designed for kids ages 9-14 years. Participants will learn winning ways to talk to young children. They will also learn information needed to handle emergencies, as well as CPR and AED. Safety tips, as children begin to stay home alone or with younger children, will also be covered. This is an eight hour class, which includes a lunch break (students bring own lunch). Class will be held at Manitowoc Senior Center/Recreation Department. Adult Shape Up This is an all around fitness class with a mix of aerobics, interval training and kickboxing, with toning through stretching, basic Pilates and strength training using light dumbbells. Perfect class for anyone, with options and modifications shown for all levels. Classes are held Monday and Wednesday at Monroe Elementary Gym at 6:30pm. Reservations are taken online, over the phone with a credit card, or in person up to one year in advance. Rental fees and deposits are due at the time of reservation. Additional fees apply for non-resident and weekend rentals. Cabins and fieldhouses are heated in winter.
Adoptable Areas Program The Adoptable Areas Program was created to give citizens an opportunity to volunteer in the City’s parks and other designated green spaces. It creates a powerful partnership between the citizens of Manitowoc and the Parks Division. Individuals or groups are encouraged to adopt an area for a period of one year and are expected to complete a minimum of two cleanups and to do monthly walkthroughs.
