Designed for youth 6 months to 3 years of age. Parent or adult is required to be in the water. Classes will be held at Riverview School on Monday evenings for 30 minutes. Classes will be held at 5:15 & 5:45 pm.

Lifeguard Training
March 4, 2017 Fees: $161.00 resident /$172.00 non resident
This course will be held at the Manitowoc Senior Center and Wilson Jr. High School Pool. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and pass a skills test given on the first day. This class is an American Red Cross certified course. Classroom will run 5:30 - 7:30 pm on Friday evenings at the Manitowoc Sr. Center. Pool time 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Saturday at Wilson Jr. High School Pool. Class fees will include all book costs. The course teaches skills needed to become a lifeguard including first aid, CPR and water rescues. Requirements: Ability to swim 300 yards non-stop and tread water. Class size is limited so registration will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Classes will typically run 6-8 weeks depending on the size and skill level of the participants * ALL CLASSES MUST BE ATTENDED FOR CERTIFICATION *
Home Alone/Babysitting Classes
Friday, December 9, 2016 or Monday, May 8, 2017 Fee: $38.00 resident / $45.00 non resident
This comprehensive class is designed for kids ages 9-14 years. Participants will learn winning ways to talk to young children, as well as information needed to handle emergencies, CPR and AED. Safety tips as children begin to stay home alone or with younger children will also be covered. This is an eight hour class, which includes a lunch break (students bring bag lunch). Class will be held at Senior Center/Recreation Department 8a-4p. *An individual email is required for each child upon registration. MPSD classes are not in session on either of the scheduled dates.
