Learn techniques to manage a wide range of daily living tasks. VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE (VITA) PROGRAM Tues – Friday | Jan 29 – April 12 1:00pm – 3:00pm | RM The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help those who generally make $54,000 or less annually, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers from Mesa United Way will provide free basic income tax return preparation to qualified individuals. WHEN FOOTBALL WAS FOOTBALL: HISTORY OF THE CARDINALS Thurs | Jan 17 | 6:00pm – 7:30pm | MN The team now known as the Arizona Cardinals played a major role in the formation of the National Football League in the 1920’s as the Chicago Cardinals. This interactive program will discuss the history of the team and the influence of well-known historical figures such as Al Capone, Jim Thorpe, and George Halas, plus participants will be able to handle a "watermelon" football, and even have the chance to win prizes in a football history quiz! YOGA FOR BEGINNERS Wed | Jan 30 | 6:30pm – 7:30pm | MN Try yoga in a relaxed environment without the pressure of attending a gym or studio. This session will focus on technique and yoga flow practice. Participants must be able to get up and down off the floor without assistance. Please bring your own yoga mat or towel and strap. Master Gardener Series WHAT IS A MASTER GARDENER? This interactive program will discuss the history of the team and the influence of well-known historical figures such as Al Capone, Jim Thorpe, and George Halas, plus participants will be able to handle a "watermelon" football, and even have the chance to win prizes in a football history quiz!
