ONLINE REGISTRATION FAQ'S

Our online registration system allows customers to register via the Internet for most of our classes and programs. The system is available to residents 24-hours a day, seven days a week, except during times the system will be taken down for maintenance. How do I create an account and add a child or other family members to my account? Go to : https://apm.activecommunities.com/ mesaaz/ and click "Create Account" and complete the "application" with head of household or adult information. Complete all fields with an aserisk (*) which are required fields. Once the required information is complete click "submit". If you need to add additional family members, click "Submit and add Family Members". What if I already have a City of Mesa ACTIVE Net account? Go to : https://apm.activecommunities.com/ mesaaz/ and click the "Sign In" button. Enter your Login Name (your email) and enter your password. Click "Login", you are now ready to register for an activity or change/search your account information. What if I forgot my login name? ACTIVE Net uses your email address as your login name. It will always be the email you registered with. What if I forgot my password? From the Active Net home page for the City of Mesa: https://apm.activecommunities. com/mesaaz/ click "Sign In" then click "Forgot your password?" and follow the instructions. How do I register for an Activity? Once your account has been established, registration for Activities is easy: 1. Click the Activities button on the registration home page. 2. Select the Activity that you would like to enroll into. Clicking the underlined name will show you a detailed Activity description. 3. Click the Add to My Cart button if you wish to register for the Activity. 4. Next, sign in to your online registration account by entering your Login Name information and Password. Proceed to checkout by clicking the Continue button. From this screen you may remove Activities from your cart or view more Activities and add them to your cart. *Please Note: If more than one family member will be attending the Activity, click on the button labeled, Add Another One (located under the Shopping Cart screen). 5. Confirm your Activity name, date and time, enrollee and price. 6. Click Continue to proceed with payment. You will be prompted that you are entering a secure site. Enter your credit card information on the Payment Information Page and agree to any required waiver(s) and confirm the payer meets the age requirement of "13 Years or Older". Click Continue. This system accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. *Please Note: The name and address must match those that are on file with your credit company. If the address shown is not your credit card billing address, click on the My Account button and change your residential address to match your credit card billing address. 7. Adaptive sports, recreation and social programs are offered to youth and adults with intellectual disabilities. The City of Mesa Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities offers a wide variety of activities including weekly sports and recreation programs, special interest classes, social activities, and summer camp. Our mission is to “Let no one sit on the sidelines.”

SPECIAL OLYMPICS AND UNIFIED SPORTS MEDICAL FORMS POLICY

All athletes competing in any sport must have a current Special Olympics Arizona medical form on file with the City of Mesa before beginning practice for any sport. There is a specific form to be filled out by the doctor, as well as the family. It is suggested that you keep a copy of your current physical. You can get the form from Special Olympics Arizona here. Athletes participation in the sports programs with this symbol are eligible to compete in Special Olympics Arizona (SOAZ) competitions. The training schedule for each program is based on the competition schedule as determined by SOAZ. Fees collected for sports programs will cover the costs of staff, equipment and travel to competitions.

SOCIAL ADAPTIVE TGIF - BOOGIE NIGHTS 70’S AND 80’S THEMED SOCIAL

TGIF is a program designed for individuals 16 an older with intellectual disabilities. Dress in your favorite 70’s and 80’s clothing and get ready for a night of socializing, fun themed activities, and line-dancing. Participants must wear a face covering and practice social distancing. For drop-off and pick-up, parents/ guardians please pull up and wait for a staff to accompany the participant to and from the building. Temperature checks will be required upon arrival. Participants will be in small groups of eight and must wear a face covering. The price includes pizza, soda and fun! For drop-off and pick-up, parents/ guardians please pull up and wait for a staff person to accompany the participant to and from the building. Temperature checks will be required upon arrival. ADAPTIVE SPORTS & RECREATION ADAPTIVE LAP SWIM

This is a great way to exercise and get healthy. This lap swim program is designed for those individuals that want an exercise focused swim workout. Swimmers must be able to swim independently in a 25 yard lap pool (without assistance). Two swimmers will be assigned per lane to start at opposite ends of the pool. Participants may not arrive early and must leave immediately after their 45-minute lap swim timeframe. Face coverings must be worn when entering and exiting the facility. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, spectators will not be allowed to enter the facility during lap swim. Pre-registration is required. This is not a learn to swim program. ADAPTIVE PICKLEBALL

This program is designed for individuals 16 and older with intellectual disabilities. Don’t be a pickler and join us for this game of fun...it’s kind of a big Dill! This program is designed for individuals ages 16 and older with intellectual disabilities. Join us for this weekly water fitness class. This is a low impact water exercise class that will get you up and moving. This class will strengthen muscles and will includes water walking, resistance and water aerobics. Registrants must be proficient in swimming without assistance. Face coverings must be worn when entering and exiting the facility. AQUATICS FLOW LEAGUE INTERMEDIATE

PROGRAM CONTACT

Catch the wave all year at Rhodes Aquatic Complex. This monthly league gives athletes the opportunity to spend weekly time learning and practicing FlowRider skills with a coach in a closed, low-participation setting. This league is for riders who are working on perfecting their stand-up skills by riding across the entire wave and getting more comfortable with balance and new techniques. Time will be spent with the Flow Fence out to allow for more practice space along the wave. The Flow Fence will be in for the last 30 minutes of class to allow for trick practice. All riders must watch a safety video and have a completed liability wavier on the first day of class. Pre-registration will be required through our online registration system, ActiveNet. We will not accept walk-up/drop-in participants for Flow League. There will be no use of the locker rooms for storage or showering, bathroom use only. No pets allowed. FLOW LEAGUE ADVANCED

Lap Swim is currently registration based only.

No Drop-in allowed.

Lap swim blocks are one hour long and there will be 6 max swimmers per hour in the morning and evening times and 8 max swimmers during mid-day lap swim.

There will be no use of the locker rooms for storage or showering, bathroom use only.

Registration for each week opens on Mondays at 8am and will include the following Monday.

Lap swim is for competent swimmers (ages 13+) who can swim multiple laps independently in a 25 yard lap pool.

Fee: $4 per person.

The Eagles Community Center is a City of Mesa transformation project that re-purposed the old Mesa Jr. High School site into a renovated community center. The Center offers a gymnasium, fitness room, and various classrooms with a focus on enrichment classes, youth sports, after school and summer programs.

Each music and movement exploration class is filled with songs, integrated with physical movement, dramatic imagination, exploration of instruments such as tambourines, triangles, maracas and rhythm sticks. This is a 1 day event, non-elimination round robin format. Tournament features three skill levels for boys and girls; Gold (advanced), Silver (intermediate) & Bronze (beginner). Within the different skill levels there are different ball types; Orange Dot Ball, Green Dot Ball, and Yellow Ball. The focus on these one day tournaments is on having FUN and Playing More Tennis. Event can only take 32 total players due to court restricts so sign-up early, this tournament may fill before the deadline! Yellow Standard Ball Divisions and Green Dot Ball Divisions are played on the Full Court. The Orange Dot Ball division is played on the 60 ft blue lines court. Our goal is to keep your kids active in sports while following the CDC guidelines for safety. Participants must wear a face mask during check in and check out. They are encouraged to wear a face mask while playing. Staff will be required to wear a face mask while interacting with others. All clinics will use individual-based and partner drills and activities only. No scrimmaging or game play. Participants will be placed into small groups of 10 or less with limited interaction with other groups. Participants must be able to function independently in a small group setting with their peers.
