NOTE

As the director of Mesa Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities, I am thrilled to offer a wide range of recreational classes, activities and events for people of all ages and abilities We have over 2,060 acres of park land, including 209 parks with unique playgrounds, first-class athletic fields, 9 aquatic centers, splash pads, trails, 6 recreation centers, the Mesa Convention Center, Amphitheatre, The POST, Dobson Ranch Golf Course, a cemetery, and 2 spring training baseball stadiums! Our refreshed PLAYBOOK magazine is published seasonally and contains information about the classes, activities, and special events produced by the Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities Department. We offer hundreds of programs and classes including adult sports, youth sports, adaptive programs, tennis lessons and leagues, pickleball lessons, water exercise, swim lessons, school break camps, enrichment classes such as STEM, Danger Scouts, yoga, martial arts and more! We also offer a Mesa Recreation Scholarship which provides fee assistance to eligible residents Come find your next “play” to run this season in our new PLAYBOOK!

Mesa Park Rangers are responsible for several tasks within the city limits, including assisting park patrons, patrolling park facilities to deter unwelcome or unauthorized park activities or behaviors, educating the community in proper park use, protecting man-made and natural resources, wildlife, and teaching about fishing and other nature-based activities.

Glide across the ice rink under twinkling lights or enjoy breakfast with Santa! Don't miss out on our movie nights featuring beloved classics like Elf and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Merry Main Street is the perfect way to embrace the holiday spirit!

Bingles, our holiday Gnome on the Roam, is back! He’ll be roaming the great streets of downtown Mesa all season Be on the lookout for a contest involving Bingles Spot him on the streets and win great prizes!
