corporate limits. City limits and Post Office boundaries are not the same, so it’s possible to have an O’Fallon address, yet live outside the City, or have a postal address in an adjacent municipality, yet live in O’Fallon. A “resident family” is defined as 2–5 people* living at the same address within O’Fallon city limits. A “non-resident family” is defined as 2–4 people* living at the same address outside of O’Fallon city limits.
All family members must be declared when a family membership is purchased. Inappropriate use of membership ID and/or privileges may result in termination or suspension of the membership.
*Additional individual family members (ages 3+) may be added to an RSC membership at the cost of $25 for residents, $50 for non-residents.
Resident Privilege Cards* For resident rates and discounts All O’Fallon residents are eligible for resident rates on park facilities and admissions with a Resident Privilege Card, which is issued free of charge to residents and their children. Apply for Resident Privilege Cards at either the Renaud Spirit Center or the Parks and Recreation Office. Residents ages 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to obtain a card. The cards expire two years from the date that they’re issued. Lost cards may be replaced for $5.
Proof of residency To obtain a Resident Privilege Card, you must present both proof of identity and proof of residency. Acceptable forms of photo ID, which must** show your current O’Fallon address, include:
• Missouri driver’s license or identification card • College student identification card • Military identification card

Let’s Move Initiative Let’s Move! is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to solving the problem of childhood obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams. O’Fallon’s Parks and Recreation Department has worked to achieve the goals set forth in the program. For more information, visit www.ofallon.mo.us/parks&rec/lets-move.
Tae Kwon Do This 6-week Martial Arts program will focus on the traditional Korean form of Tae Kwon Do known as Chung Do Kwan. This style is based on explosive movements, devastating power and self-discipline. All students begin training at the “no belt” level. After learning the eight basics and the first form they will be invited to test for the white belt. Students will progress through a series of techniques and belts at their own pace and will NOT necessarily test each session. Because each student progresses at his or her own pace, testing will be at the discretion of the instructor. Children who would like to progress at a faster pace may register for more than one class.
If you are interested in watching one of the classes to see if it is something your child would be interested in, you may do so the last week of the session. Tyke Kwon Do • Ages 3–5 Kids’ coordination will improve and they’ll gain confidence as they learn basic karate skills in this introductory class. Children should wear comfortable clothing. O’FallonTheatreWorks O’FallonTheatreWorks presents The Diary of Anne Frank Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 4–6 and 11–13 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; 2 p.m. matinees on Sunday In this powerful adaptation of the book, Anne Frank emerges from history as a living, lyrical, intensely gifted young girl who confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horror of the times with astonishing honesty, wit and determination. Based on the true story of the lives of eight people hiding from the Nazis, The Diary of Anne Frank captures the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence – their fear, their hope, their laughter, their grief. Each day for two dark years, Anne’s voice shines through. “When I write, I shake off all my cares. But I want to achieve more than that. I want to be useful and bring enjoyment to all people, even those I’ve never met. I want to go on living even after my death.”

Holiday Weight Loss Challenge
On the first Monday of every month from 6–7 p.m., meet Dr. Scott Grogan, a board-certified Chiropractic Physician, by the desk in the fitness center for answers to your health and fitness-related questions. Dr. Grogan completed his full body certification in Active Release Technique in 2011, giving him a unique approach to the treatment of patients by addressing not only the joints but the surrounding soft-tissue as well. Dr. Grogan utilizes the “joint-by-joint” approach to patient care, which emphasizes the impact that the kinetic chain (ankles, knees, hips, shoulders etc.) can have on the entire body. Through functional analysis Dr. Grogan will locate the true dysfunction and source of the problem to arrive at an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Through mobilization of the joints and by placing a heavy emphasis on soft-tissue treatment and rehabilitation, his goal is to provide fast, effective care and empower patients to take control of their own health.
Stop the vicious cycle of holiday weight gain by heading into the holiday season healthy, happy and with a plan. Let the Renaud Spirit Center team help you look and feel your best for all of your holiday get-togethers with this six-week program, which includes personal trainer guidance, weekly tips and challenges and specifically-designed workouts with the tools you need to reach your goal. You MUST attend the initial weigh-in on Monday, September 26, at 7:45 p.m. to receive personalized kickoff information from our trainers, including a packet containing recipes, workouts, journals, tips and more. The final weigh-in will be held Sunday, November 6, anytime between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Participants will be responsible for reporting their weekly weight via email.

Learn to Swim O
’Fallon’s Learn to Swim program is built on teaching aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression. Our goal is to teach children and adults how to swim and be safe in and around the water. The program is composed of 11 course levels:
Aqua Learning: Preschool: Preschool Plus: Level 1: Level 2: Level 3: Level 4: Level 5: Level 6: Level:
Shrimp I and II, Pollywog Turtle Seahorse Explorer Submarine Clipper Sailor Adventurer Barracuda Adult
Aqua Learning: Parent and child participation is required. Class size is limited to eight parent-child couples. Pollywog: Class ratio is four to one instructor. Parents are required to be in the water the first four classes. Preschool – Level 3: Class ratio is six children to one instructor. Levels 4 – 6: Class ratio is eight children to one instructor. Adult: Class ratio is eight adults to one instructor. Participants will move to the next class or skill level when all skills from the previous level are mastered. Some classes may seem repetitive, but we want swimmers to perfect their skills in order to advance safely. Please keep in mind that children learn at different paces and it’s common to repeat a class.
Weekday classes at the RSC meet twice weekly for four weeks and last 35 minutes. Saturday morning sessions last 40 minutes and meet for seven weeks.
36
Which class is right for my child? To ensure your child’s success in the Learn to Swim program, it’s important to register children for the appropriate level. Children who have participated in the swimming program should register according to the last class successfully completed. Each child must pass a particular level before proceeding to the next.
Aqua Learning This program helps children ages 6 months to 3 years become comfortable in and around water and prepares them to learn how to swim. The class is divided into two sections: Shrimp I and Shrimp II. Please note: Classes may seem repetitive because they are introductions to water.
Shrimp I • Ages 6 – 18 months Parent-child or guardian participation in the water is required. The instructor will demonstrate techniques as parents learn how to safely guide children and help them advance at their own pace.

This transitional class is for children who have passed Shrimp II but who are not quite ready for the Turtle class. The Pollywog class is designed to help swimmers gain confidence and independence as they master introductory skills and learn safe practices. Parents or guardians should be prepared to assist their child during the first four classes. The 40-minute Saturday class meets once a week for seven weeks. The 35-minute Thursday/Tuesday class meets twice a week for four weeks. (Minimum enrollment is two children; maximum is five.)

The course will be closed October 10, 2016, through late January 2017 to accommodate Celebration of Lights.
Get married in scenic Fort Zumwalt Park with Lake Whetsel, Zumwalt’s Fort and the historic Heald Home in the background. Two-hour permits for the use of the wedding site are available for parties of up to 100 people. No electricity, tents, tables or chairs will be provided. The cost is $70/$95, plus a $50 refundable security deposit.
Challenge yourself at “The Fort,” O’Fallon’s first disc golf course. This scenic, 18-hole course loops through Fort Zumwalt Park. There’s no charge for open play and free score cards will be provided near the first tee. The course length is 4,290 feet from the beginner markers (red) and 5,957 feet from the intermediate markers (white). The terrain offers a mix of open fairway, rolling hills and a wooded canopy, encouraging players to use a variety of discs. The course is open to all ages during regular park hours. Restrooms are located nearby. For course details, visit www.ofallon.mo.us/parks&rec/disc-golf-course.
Rent the historic Heald Home The Heald Home, built circa 1884–86, is available for hourly rentals, with a two-hour minimum required.
