O’Fallon Theatre Works Presents:

Scrooge: A Christmas Carol

This holiday season, O’Fallon Theatre Works is bringing a brandnew tradition to town with Scrooge: A Christmas Carol. This heartwarming and festive production will run December 13-15 and December 20-22 at O’Fallon’s Municipal Centre.

Scrooge: A Christmas Carol is a timeless story about the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge and his transformation from a cold-hearted man to a generous and kind soul. The play begins on Christmas Eve, when Scrooge is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. These spirits show Scrooge his life as a young boy, his present circumstances, and his bleak future if he does not change his ways.

It’s a heartwarming and inspirational story that reminds us of the importance of generosity, kindness, and the true meaning of Christmas. The talented cast of O’Fallon Theatre Works and director Larry Quiggins are excited to bring this adaptation of a holiday classic to the community.

Tickets for Scrooge: A Christmas Carol are now on sale! Don’t forget about our pre-show Dine & Discover on December 14, where you’ll enjoy a catered dinner at City Hall alongside other show goers before heading upstairs to see the production. Purchase your tickets today and create a new holiday tradition with your family and O’Fallon Parks & Recreation.

To ensure success in the O’Fallon Swim Academy, it’s important to register children for the appropriate level. Children who have participated in the swimming program should register according to the last class successfully completed, moving to the next class or skill level when all skills from the previous level are mastered. Some classes may seem repetitive, but we want swimmers to perfect their skills in order to advance safely, not quickly. Children learn at different paces and it is common to repeat a class.

Your Home on Steroids

A thoughtfully designed home can empower older adults to age in place by offering safety, comfort, and accessibility, enabling them to maintain their independence. Features such as step-free entryways, wide hallways, and smart home technology minimize the need for assistance. By investing in these modifications, seniors can extend their time in their own homes, preserving their autonomy. Moreover, as propety values appreciate, their home can serve as an asset, potentially funding future senior living options if necessary. This approach balances immediate comfort with long-term financial security, fostering a fulfilling aging experience.

Scrooge: A Christmas Carol Weekends, December 13 - 15 & 20 - 22

7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; 2 p.m. matinee on Sundays O’Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall), East Entrance

On a cold Christmas Eve, Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly and bitter old man, hunches over his work, despising the holiday spirit. That night, however, his life takes a dramatic turn. The ghost of his deceased business partner, Jacob Marley, appears, bound by heavy chains forged from a lifetime of greed. Marley warns Scrooge of a similar fate unless he changes his ways.

Written by Charles Dickens and adapted by Larry D. Quiggins, Scrooge: A Christmas Carol is a timeless tale of redemption, reminding us of the importance of compassion, love, and the transformative power of the holiday spirit.

Dine & Discover: Scrooge: A Christmas Carol

Join O’Fallon Theatre Works and O’Fallon Parks & Rec for a fun evening of dinner and a show on December 14! Before the curtain rises, enjoy a catered dinner at City Hall alongside other show goers before heading upstairs to see the production! Purchase tickets at: www.ofallonmo.gov/otw.
