Civic Dance Studio Through May 2019 This great nine-month dance program encourages students to practice and improve throughout the school year and culminates with the Year-End Dance Recital. Class participation is crucial in preparing for the recital, so we ask that children commit to attending ALL scheduled classes through May 2019. New students will be accepted into the program at any time; however, students who joined after February 2019 will not be eligible to participate in the recital held June 2019. Starting this fall, classes will be held at the all-new Krekel Civic Center, 305 Civic Park Drive, O’Fallon, MO 63366. Regular participation in Civic Dance Studio is the best way to help students build a progressive foundation for dance as they learn and practice dance steps and master the skills they need.

Tae Kwon Do This six-week Martial Arts program will focus on the traditional Korean form of Tae Kwon Do known as Chung Do Kwan. This style is based on explosive movements, devastating power and self-discipline. All students begin training at the “no belt” level. After learning the eight basics and the first form they will be invited to test for the white belt. Students will progress through a series of techniques and belts at their own pace and will not necessarily test each session. Because each student progresses at his or her own pace, testing will be at the discretion of the instructor. Children who would like to progress at a faster pace may register for more than one class.
If you are interested in watching one of the classes to see if it is something your child would be interested in, you may do so the last week of the session. Tyke Kwon Do • Ages 3–5 141201-B 241201-A 141201-D 241201-B

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 2–4 and 9–11 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; 2 p.m. matinees on Sundays O’Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall), East Entrance One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is a chilling, cautionary tale of a charming rogue, Randle Patrick McMurphy, who contrives to serve a short sentence in an airy mental institution rather than prison. This, he learns, was a mistake. He clashes with the head nurse, Nurse Ratched, a fierce martinet. He quickly takes over the yard and accomplishes what the medical profession was unable to do for 12 years, prompt a presumably deaf and dumb Native American patient to speak. Leading the other patients out of their introversion, McMurphy stages a revolt so that they can watch the World Series on television, and arranges a rollicking midnight party. The party is too horrid for Nurse Ratched, who forces a final “correction” on McMurphy, a frontal lobotomy. The play is a 2001 winner of a Tony® Award, for “Outstanding Revival of a Play.” Parental discretion is advised.

Adult Tennis Classes • Ages 18+
Each session consists of five 60-minute classes with a Vetta West Tennis Teaching Pro. Our programming is designed according to the United States Tennis Association Youth Player Progression. The system promotes play with red, orange and green compression balls (R.O.G.Y.), and it is structured to allow young players to remain at the appropriate level to give them the opportunity to develop both physically and technically. Please note, all R.O.G.Y. classes are subdivided into appropriate age and skill levels.
Movement, knowledge, and fun will be emphasized in this great class. Players will be placed by skill level. Instruction will boost the development of fundamental stroke technique. Live play will be emphasized and singles and doubles positioning will be evaluated. Experienced players will focus on advanced technical shots and match strategy.
*There will be no classes held on Labor Day weekend.

Natalie Onuaha Tough, motivating and goaloriented, Natalie Onuaha has been a personal trainer and fitness instructor with the RSC since 2007. Over the years, she's earned a reputation as one of the gym's toughest trainers, a trait many of her clients attribute to her effectiveness in helping them reach their fitness goals. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Natalie firmly believes in the merit of hard work, which is why she pushes her clients to give their all in the gym and pushes herself to do her best at her job every single day. “I love what I do,” Natalie says. “It's so rewarding to see my clients improve both physically and mentally as they work hard to become their best selves.” In addition to teaching classes and training clients at the RSC, Natalie is a lieutenant colonel in the USAF Reserves, teacher, speaker, and mentor. Her most important job, however, is raising and homeschooling her four children. If you're looking for effective workouts uniquely tailored to motivate and help you reach your goals, Natalie is the trainer for you! The artists were guided by their intent to move viewers away from the everyday and into the realm of imagination, wonder and fun. And several expressed the hope that their artwork might inspire community gathering places.
Constructed mainly of steel and aluminum, some sculptures incorporate colorful glass as well. Yordanov’s “Light Infinity” (coming later this fall) adds a twist with LED lights that shine at night.
The others tend to fall into the abstract art category: “Light Infinity,” by Plamen Yordanov, “Two Blue Spires,” by Gerry Newcomb, “Hometown Hive,” by Bryce Robinson, “Night Empress,” by Jaci Willis, and “Life Support,” by Helle Scharling-Todd.
Three sculptures are based on cultural icons: “Salvere,” a life-sized horse by Jeff Best; “Low Poly Heart,” a giant heart created by Matthew Duffy, and Brad Heinemann’s “Guitar.”
Each piece was selected not only for eye appeal, but to appeal to the mind’s eye as well.
The eight sculptures for the City’s first Shape of Community exhibit were created by artists living and working around the country: Washington, D.C., Ventura, California, Seattle, Washington, the Chicago area, Clare, Michigan and metro St. Louis.

Let’s Learn How to “Go Disney” – Spring Break!
Aquatics O
Participants will move to the next class or skill level when all skills from the previous level are mastered. Some classes may seem repetitive, but we want swimmers to perfect their skills in order to advance safely. Please keep in mind that children learn at different paces, and it is common to repeat a class.
The program is composed of 11 course levels:
Weekday classes at the RSC meet twice weekly for four weeks and last 35 minutes. Saturday morning sessions last 40 minutes and meet for seven weeks.
Learn to Swim ’Fallon’s Learn to Swim program is built on teaching aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression. Our goal is to teach children and adults how to swim and be safe in and around the water.
Aqua Learning: Preschool: Preschool Plus: Level 1: Level 2: Level 3: Level 4: Level 5: Level 6: Level:
Shrimp I and II, Pollywog Turtle Seahorse Explorer Submarine Clipper Sailor Adventurer Barracuda Adult
Aqua Learning: Parent and child participation is required. Class size is limited to eight parent-child couples. Pollywog: Class ratio is four to one instructor. Parents are required to be in the water the first four classes. Preschool – Level 3: Class ratio is six children to one instructor. Levels 4 – 6: Class ratio is eight children to one instructor. Adult: Class ratio is eight adults to one instructor.
Which class is right for my child? To ensure your child’s success in the Learn to Swim program, it’s important to register children for the appropriate level. Children who have participated in the swimming program should register according to the last class successfully completed. Each child must pass a particular level before proceeding to the next.

Weekday classes at Alligator’s Creek meet four times a week for two weeks. Saturday morning sessions meet for 35 minutes once a week for eight weeks.
The Aqua Learning levels help children ages 6 months to 3 years become comfortable in and around water and prepare them to learn how to swim. The classes are divided into three sections: Shrimp I, Shrimp II and Pollywog. Please note: Classes may seem repetitive because they are introductions to water.
Aqua Learning: Shrimp I • Ages 6 – 18 months Parent-child or guardian participation in the water is required. The instructor will demonstrate techniques as parents learn how to safely guide children and help them advance at their own pace. Min/Max: 3/8
