Kids love our exciting eight-game leagues which focus on soccer skills, rules and fun! Leagues fill quickly, so register early! Games are played at Sports Park on Saturdays between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Parents, we need volunteer coaches! Parent coaches are eligible to have one child’s registration fee reduced if slots are available. Starting July 8, an additional $12 late fee will apply to all registration. Registration ends Thursday, July 25, or when the program fills. Eligibility is based on a child’s age as of January 1, 2019; however, children who turn 4 as of October 26, 2019, may participate in the 4 and 5-year-old leagues. The Coaches Meeting will be held August 17 at 8 a.m. for U4 and U6 coaches and 9:30 a.m. for all other leagues. Coaches must attend the meeting prior to receiving their teams’ equipment. Please note: Roster requests do not register a child for the program and it does not guarantee a child a spot in the program. Practices are NOT a part of the league fee, so refunds or team changes will not be made to accommodate practice schedules. *Some divisions may be grouped together based on registration*

All of our CORE programs promote and develop different skills to enhance the technical abilities of our young players!

We are very proud to announce our partnership with the City of Wentzville in developing a more competitive soccer playing experience. Additionally, and most importantly, we have secured the services of CORE Soccer Training Director Jamie Swanner and his qualified staff to oversee and run this program. This new Rec Premier Soccer program will be based on true small sided 4 v 4 game play with technical development along with the tactical awareness needed for the individual player. We are confident that the player development of such a league will give these players the great opportunity to develop their skills. We recommend that players stay on their existing teams and utilize this league as a player enhancement program. This will be 8-week program starting August 30, 2019. Location: Rec Premier Soccer will run on Friday evenings under the lights in both O’Fallon (Dames Park) and Wentzville (Heartland Park), we will alternate weeks at each city park.

Open Sunday Studio: Photography

$24/$26 Annually

These monitored uninstructed, open studio sessions are a great way to explore your journey of ‘painting with light’ and creating art through your lens. Beginners have the chance to photograph, pose and work with a live model, manipulate the lighting and make decisions on what to capture on ‘film’. Seasoned photographers can use the time to work on a specific problem area, or just come to keep their camera and lighting skills fresh. Bring your own camera or camera phone. A class monitor will be present to set up the pose and keep the posing time. The duration of the model poses varies for this session. This open studio takes place the 2nd Sunday of the month, June-August. Minimum class size is six.

Now in its 17th year, the Photo Club features field trips, guest speakers and hands-on demonstrations. Newcomers of all levels are welcome! The club meets in the lower level of the O’Fallon Senior Center, Room 108, on the second Wednesday of the month. Dues are for the entire year and the cost is prorated for the remaining months when you join. To find out more about the club, search for “O’Fallon Photo Club” on Facebook. The club’s page offers tips, challenges and, of course, original photos. Register by calling the Renaud Center at 636-474-2REC (2732), or register online at www.renaudcenter.com.

This great nine-month dance program encourages students to practice and improve throughout the school year and culminates with the year-end dance recital. Class participation is crucial in preparing for the recital, so we ask that children commit to attending all scheduled classes from September 2019 through May 2020. New students will be accepted into the program at any time. Classes will be held at our new Krekel Civic Center, 305 Civic Park Drive, O’Fallon 63366. Regular participation in Civic Dance Studio is the best way to help students build a progressive foundation for dance as they learn and practice dance steps and master the skills they need.

Martial Arts Tae Kwon Do This six-week Martial Arts program will focus on the traditional Korean form of Tae Kwon Do known as Chung Do Kwan. This style is based on explosive movements, devastating power and self-discipline. All students begin training at the “no belt” level. After learning the eight basics and the first form they will be invited to test for the white belt. Students will progress through a series of techniques and belts at their own pace and will not necessarily test each session. Because each student progresses at his or her own pace, testing will be at the discretion of the instructor. Children who would like to progress at a faster pace may register for more than one class. Aquatics Learn to Swim

O

Participants will move to the next class or skill level when all skills from the previous level are mastered. Some classes may seem repetitive, but we want swimmers to perfect their skills in order to advance safely. Please keep in mind that children learn at different paces, and it is common to repeat a class.

The program is composed of 11 course levels:

Weekday classes at the Renaud Center meet twice weekly for four weeks and last 35 minutes. Saturday morning sessions last 40 minutes and meet for seven weeks.

’Fallon’s Learn to Swim program is built on teaching aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression. Our goal is to teach children and adults how to swim and be safe in and around the water.

Aqua Learning: Preschool: Preschool Plus: Level 1: Level 2: Level 3: Level 4: Level 5: Level 6: Level:

Shrimp I and II, Pollywog Turtle Seahorse Explorer Submarine Clipper Sailor Adventurer Barracuda Adult

Aqua Learning: Parent and child participation is required. Class size is limited to eight parent-child couples.

Weekday classes at Alligator’s Creek meet four times a week for two weeks. Saturday morning sessions meet for 35 minutes once a week for eight weeks.

The Aqua Learning levels help children ages 6 months to 3 years become comfortable in and around water and prepare them to learn how to swim. The classes are divided into three sections: Shrimp I, Shrimp II and Pollywog. Please note: Classes may seem repetitive because they are introductions to water.

Aqua Learning: Shrimp I • Ages 6–18 months

Preschool – Level 3: Class ratio is six children to one instructor.

Parent-child or guardian participation in the water is required. The instructor will demonstrate techniques as parents learn how to safely guide children and help them advance at their own pace. Min/Max: 3/8

Levels 4 – 6: Class ratio is eight children to one instructor.

Morning Classes

Pollywog: Class ratio is four to one instructor. Parents are required to be in the water the first four classes.

Adult: Class ratio is eight adults to one instructor.

Which class is right for my child? To ensure your child’s success in the Learn to Swim program, it’s important to register children for the appropriate level. Children who have participated in the swimming program should register according to the last class successfully completed. Each child must pass a particular level before proceeding to the next.
