On the first Monday of every month from 6–7 p.m., meet Dr. Scott Grogan, a board-certified Chiropractic Physician, by the desk in the fitness center for answers to your health and fitness-related questions. Dr. Grogan completed his full body certification in Active Release Technique in 2011, giving him a unique approach to the treatment of patients by addressing not only the joints but the surrounding soft-tissue as well. Dr. Grogan utilizes the “joint-by-joint” approach to patient care, which emphasizes the impact that the kinetic chain (ankles, knees, hips, shoulders etc.) can have on the entire body. Through functional analysis Dr. Grogan will locate the true dysfunction and source of the problem to arrive at an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Through mobilization of the joints and by placing a heavy emphasis on soft-tissue treatment and rehabilitation, his goal is to provide fast, effective care and empower patients to take control of their own health.

Cultural Arts T
he Cultural Arts Program offers people of all ages a chance to learn from the experts and participate in live theater, special events, concerts, exhibits, art camps, year-round art classes and workshops. Courses are taught by professional artists. Look for new classes each quarter and see exhibits of paintings, photographs, pottery and other media in the Cultural Arts Gallery at the Renaud Spirit Center.
“I fell in love with shibori dye in a fibers class I took at the University of Missouri-Columbia,” said Creech, who is a senior at the university. “The main focus of my show is the sheer beauty of the art itself. My goal is for people to be engulfed in the artwork and transported to a new world if only for a second while viewing my work.” Her exhibit includes art photos taken during her travels and as a freelance photographer.
Opportunities in the Arts Would you like to teach art? Do you need space to exhibit your work? Call us! The Box Office opens one hour before each show. This critically acclaimed, award-winning drama tells the story of the two men who pioneered Alcoholics Anonymous, and of their wives, who founded Al Anon. During the Roaring ‘20s, New York stockbroker Bill Wilson rides high on money, fame, and booze. In 1929, when he and the market crash, he becomes a hopeless drunk. Dr. Bob Smith, a surgeon in Akron, Ohio, and a pillar of the community, has been a secret drunk for 30 years, often going into the operating room with a hangover. His family tried everything, to no avail. Then, through an astonishing series of events, Bill and Bob meet on Mother’s Day in1935. The two men form a relationship which keeps each sober. Fired up, they seek out a third drunk to see if their program will work for others. Richly textured with the ragtime and jazz of the era, the play tells a magnificent American success story. Youth Martial Arts Tae Kwon Do This 6-week Martial Arts program will focus on the traditional Korean form of Tae Kwon Do known as Chung Do Kwan. This style is based on explosive movements, devastating power and self-discipline. All students begin training at the “no belt” level. After learning the eight basics and the first form they will be invited to test for the white belt. Prior to the black belt exam students will progress through a series of techniques and belts. Testing will occur the ninth week of the session. Because each student progresses at his or her own pace, testing will be at the discretion of the instructor.
If you are considering signing up for one of our Tae Kwon Do classes but would like to try it out first, this is your chance. During this free open house you will meet the instructors, watch live demonstrations, and get to participate in an actual class to see what it is all about! Registration is not required, but is encouraged. SA

Civic Dance Studio Now through June 2015 Enroll now! This great eleven-month dance program encourages students to practice and improve throughout the school year, and culminates with a Year-End Dance Recital. Learn to Swim O
’Fallon’s Learn to Swim program is built on teaching aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression. Our goal is to teach children and adults how to swim and be safe in and around the water. The program is composed of 11 course levels:
Aqua Learning: Preschool: Preschool Plus: Level 1: Level 2: Level 3: Level 4: Level 5: Level 6: Level:
Shrimp I and II, Pollywog Turtle Seahorse Explorer Submarine Clipper Sailor Adventurer Barracuda Adult
Aqua Learning: Parent and child participation is required. Class size is limited to eight parent-child couples. Pollywog: Class ratio is four to one instructor. Parents are required to be in the water the first four classes. Preschool – Level 3: Class ratio is six children to one instructor.
Which class is right for my child? To ensure your child’s success in the Learn to Swim program, it’s important to register children for the appropriate level. Children who have participated in the swimming program should register according to the last class successfully completed. Each child must pass a particular level before proceeding to the next.
Aqua Learning This program helps children ages 6 months to 3 years become comfortable in and around water and prepares them to learn how to swim. The class is divided into two sections: Shrimp I and Shrimp II. Please note: Classes may seem repetitive because they are introductions to water.
Shrimp I • Ages 6 – 18 months Parent-child or guardian participation in the water is required. The instructor will demonstrate techniques as parents learn how to safely guide children and help them advance at their own pace.
Levels 4 – 6: Class ratio is eight children to one instructor.
Morning Classes
Adult: Class ratio is eight adults to one instructor.
41723 41731 42475 42474 42473 42479 42482 42485 42484
Participants will move to the next class or skill level when all skills from the previous level are mastered. Some classes may seem repetitive, but we want swimmers to perfect their skills in order to advance safely. Please keep in mind that children learn at different paces and it’s common to repeat a class. Weekday classes at the RSC meet twice weekly for four weeks and last 35 minutes. Saturday morning sessions last 40 minutes and meet for seven weeks.
