Better Balance Workshop
Ages: 50 & up
Did you know that impaired balance is a major risk factor for falls among older adults? Many people find their ability to balance decreases as young as 50 years old, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Join Roché to learn exercises and strategies to maintain and improve your balance which will contribute to your health, fitness and independence!

Band Basics Workshop
Ages: 16 & up
Incorporating resistance bands into your exercise routine has a lot of benefits that go beyond building strength. Bands can adapt to your unique body, they can be used in a huge variety of exercises and they are extremely portable, allowing you to bring your workouts anywhere! If you are looking to take your workouts outside this summer and you want to learn what to do with this flexible piece of equipment, then this workshop is for you! Bands will be available for purchase after the workshop.

Introduction to Spin Workshop
Ages: 16 & up
Description: Have you been wanting to try a spin class but you aren’t sure what to expect? Learn how to properly set up your bike for your body, what those numbers mean on your screen and what different cycling positions look like on a spin bike in this Introduction to Spin Workshop.
Participants will spend 15 minutes on set up and technique, followed by 45 minutes of easy drills. After this workshop you’ll be ready for any spin class we offer!

Skills Lab
Ages: 16 & up
Join this fun and interactive workshop designed to hone your fitness skills. Whether you are looking to enhance your performance or improve your function, this workshop will teach how to safely and progressively introduce skills training into your workout. We will explore each of the key skill related components of fitness - speed, agility, coordination, reaction time, power and balance. Participants will also get an opportunity to practice each of these skills at their level. Please bring a notebook and pen and be prepared to be active.

Strength & Muscle for Women 60+ Follow up Exercises
Ages: 60 & up
Did you attend our Strength and Muscle for Women 60+ workshop this past winter? Are you wondering what’s next?! Roché has a new set of exercises for you to try to keep you strong and confident, ready to live your life well. This active workshop is open to participants who attended the winter workshop with Roché. Bring a notebook and come prepared to participate!

Vitals Clinic
Ages: 60 & up
In partnership with the BCEHS Community Paramedicine Program, the FREE Vitals Clinic is a drop-in program where participants can have their blood pressure, oxygen saturation, blood sugar and temperature checked by our community paramedic. You will have the opportunity to discuss health issues that might be causing you concern. No medical treatments will be provided at these appointments. Appointments will be on a drop-in, first-come first-served basis. Thank you in advance for your patience.
