Scholarships and Fee Assistance
The City of Reno is committed to providing recreational opportunities to all residents regardless of economic circumstances. For this reason, a limited fund fee assistance program is available to those who qualify.
If you are a Reno resident you may be eligible to receive a scholarship. Pick-up an application at any of our locations to take advantage of this program.

Badminton
Ages: 18+
Cost: drop-in fee per location
Badminton is a racket sport played by either two opposing players (singles) or two opposing pairs (doubles), who take positions on opposite halves of a rectangular court that is divided by a net.
Beanbag Baseball
Ages: 18+
Cost: drop-in fee per location
We are looking for some enthusiastic players to practice and play in our facilities. If you are interested, come to practice and show off your skills.
Bunco
Ages: 18+
Cost: drop-in fee per location
Bunco is a parlor game generally played with 12 or more players, divided into groups of four, and trying to score points while taking turns rolling three dice in a series of six rounds.
Ceramics
Ages: All | Cost: $45 per month (varies with holidays)

The ceramics class is designed to focus on techniques that accommodate novice to advanced students. Mediums include acrylic paints, glazes and translucency.
Dominos

Dog Obedience
Ages: 8+ years (people)

Instructor Guy Yeaman will teach your dog the basic obedience commands. Each dog will need a training collar (choke chain, martingale, harness, etc.) and a four-foot to six-foot fabric or leather leash. Written proof of updated dog shots must be shown at the start of class. Results are guaranteed.
Food Bank Mobile Harvest
Ages: 18+

Access to healthful, nutrient-rich foods is extremely important for community members served by the Food Bank of Northern Nevada
The Mobile Harvest program is a direct service program that allows us to distribute perishable foods such as fresh produce, bread, and dairy into high-need neighborhoods.
Chair Yoga
Ages: 18+ | Cost: Drop in fee Thursdays 9am-10am

This course is designed to help participants with yoga poses and postures focusing on a gentle movement from a chair or standing beside a chair. This modified yoga program offers ways to help improve strength and flexibility. Stretch and hold poses in simple ways to gradually ease tight joints and muscles and build strength. Regain mobility, coordination, balance and fullness of breath. Leave this class feeling relaxed and refreshed. Plan to dress comfortably with low heeled shoes.
Hand Knee Foot

Introducing ‘Hand, Knee, & Foot’
Let us introduce to you ‘Hand, Knee, & Foot’. This is a point-based game. A variation on the more traditionally played ‘Canasta’ but designed to be even more challenging. So, if you are looking for something new, fresh, and fun ... Whether you already know how to play or you would like to learn ... Come in and play with this entertaining group!
Karate

These classes teach traditional Japanese-style karate, using the same training principles as in traditional karate dojos throughout the world.
Learn to Play Pickleball
Ages: 18+
Cost: $10 (for two 2 hr sessions) Learn every aspect of the game including the serve, basic shot techniques, court positioning, rules, scoring, strategy, safety and etiquette.
Class is for beginners and those needing a refresher! Equipment will be provided. Please wear proper footwear.
Pickleball
Ages: 18+

Pickleball is a paddle sport combining tennis, table tennis and badminton. Learn how to serve, basic shots, court positioning, rules, scoring, etc. Equipment will be provided. Please wear proper footwear.
Senior Lunch Program
Ages: 60+
Cost: Suggested $2 donation (60+) and $4 (under 60)
Monday-Friday 11:30am

Seniors can enjoy a hot meal or a fresh salad for lunch at the Washoe County Senior Center. Salads and hot meals must be ordered a day in advance. Additional eligibility information applies. Call (775) 3282786 to order your lunch.
Sit and Get Fit
Ages: 18+

This program strengthens the muscles while sitting, standing or while holding on the back of a chair, if needed.
Table Tennis

Table tennis, also known as pingpong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball, also known as the ping-pong ball, back and forth across a table using small rackets.
Chinese Folk Dance

Volunteer based class. Learn a variety of dance styles including Chinese Folk Dance.
Gentle Yoga
Ages: 18+
Cost: $35 per month

This is a gentle movement yoga class. When you are in a pose you are supporting yourself throughout the pose in a particular shape, in awareness and observation which helps achieve the desired benefit to the nervous system, the muscular system, the chemistry, and the fascia and release chronic tension patterns and holdings. This is an easy flowing class so enjoy! No hurry and no worry!
Ballet Folklorico Raices del Fuego
Ages: 2+ Location: TPPAC
To achieve this goal, we teach traditional folk dances from the different regions in Mexico. We showcase these dances through the presentation of programs in collaboration with local community activities and events
Zumba
Ages: 18+
Cost: $10 per month
With zesty Latin rhythms, tone and sculpt the body in an energizing cardio workout. Classes are hosted by Patricia and Shannon Gallimore of G-Fusion Fitness and Health.
Tai Chi
Ages: 18+
Cost: $35 per month or $5 per class
Tai Chi is a low impact exercise that helps with balance and flexibility and features 37 postures yang style. This Chinese exercise system uses slow, smooth body movements to achieve a state of relaxation of both body and mind. Improve mental and physical health while strengthening the cardiovascular and immune system.

Bridge is a trick-taking card game that is played with four players divided into teams of two while using a standard 52-card deck
Cribbage
The goal of cribbage is to score 121 points before your opponent. Points are scored in the pegging and counting phases and played with a 52 card deck.
