This class is an ongoing program offering a fun, safe and inexpensive introduction to traditional Tangsoodo karate for very young children. Taught by instructor Olivia Edwards, it is part of the karate program offered through Shoreline Parks that includes Karate for Kids and Adult Karate, coordinated by senior instructor Eric Madis, fifth degree black belt. Class activities include stretching and exercising, basic karate techniques and fun activities. Students from this program may then progress to Karate for Kids when they are ready. Rank promotions are available for students who attend and train regularly. Age:

Froggy Holler Preschool Froglets Enrich your child’s preschool experience with Froggy Holler Outdoor Preschool class. Erin Middleton is a trained environmental educator. Teacher Erin will work with students to give them imaginative and cooperative playtime in the woods, as well as nature themed stories, activities, songs and poems. Camp Shoreline at Spartan Recreation Center is a fun, high energy place. Each weekly themed camp is packed with a variety of large and small group activities including games, sports, crafts and lots of outdoor playtime. Our professional camp staff will get to know your child helping them stay active, create memories and make friends through the summer months. MLS Soccer We’ll start by focusing on skills and drills and later put it all together in some fun games and matches. Team Sports Team sports create friendship and playful competition. We’ll explore a variety of different team sports. Flag Football We’ll start with basic skills for success and by the end of the week we’ll be creating our own offensive plays and tossing touchdowns. Outdoor Camp (OC) is our newest camp for 1012 year olds. Camp takes place at two locations during the summer, Hamlin Park and Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. Outdoor Camp incorporates environmental exploration into new and traditional camp activities. Campers spend their day in nature playing games and sports, making art, and participating in individual and team challenges. Tiny-hawk introduces soccer in a fun, safe environment with lots of encouragement. Campers must be between three and four years of age and toilet trained in order to participate. Children will learn balance, body movement, hand/eye coordination and skill development through a series of sport-specific games. Campers receive a T-shirt and merit award. This new and innovative fitness class is a great combination of ballet, yoga, Pilates and core conditioning. It is a high energy and low impact workout that tones and stretches your muscles while burning fat and increasing your flexibility. Insanity is a revolutionary cardio-based total body conditioning program based on the principles of interval training. Diablo Lake Boat Tour

The deep turquoise waters of Diablo Lake and towering mountain peaks make it one of the most beautiful sites in Washington State. This all inclusive trip starts with a locally sourced organic lunch at the Learning Center followed with a short walking tour of the lakes history and environment. After, we’ll board the Cascadian for a boat tour exploring the lake, its islands, waterfalls and the three dams part of the Skagit Hydroelectric Project. Gentle Lap Swim

If you want to swim but don’t need to win the race or “churn” the water, this is the best relaxing lap swim for you. Recommended for seniors, but open to all adult lap swimmers.

Sensational Water Aerobics! Shallow water aerobics and deep water exercise are low to no impact. Great for the joints. Absolutely no swimming skills required, but comfort in the water is recommended. The water environment works your cardiovascular system as hard as other high impact classes.

Gentle Water Exercise This program is to help those who need to slowly get back into exercise due to illness, surgery or medical treatment. This exercise is in the shallow end of the pool and no swimming ability is needed.

Shoreline’s Arthritis Movement Exercise Our popular program is designed for people who are limited by impaired joint motion and/or strength. Program goals include improving or maintaining joint flexibility, maintaining muscle strength or reducing muscle weakness, improving balance and coordination.

Refund Due to City Cancellation: Classes, camps, programs, trips or workshops/special events cancelled by the City of Shoreline will result in a 100% Refund of the program fee paid. REFUND REQUEST DEADLINES:

Class fee second day: After the second day of class, but prior to the third, requested refunds will be pro-rated per the registration fee paid and the total number of classes. Class fee third day: Refunds will not be issued after the third day of class, unless an exception is granted. Requests for an exception to this policy must be submitted in writing prior to the fourth class and must be approved by the PRCS Director. The City has sole discretion to decide whether or not to grant this exception. Single trips/workshops/special events: Refunds may be issued if requested at least three (3) calendar days prior to (not including) the event date. Point of sale admissions: Refund requests must be made in writing and submitted to the registration desk prior to leaving the facility on the day of use. All requests are at the discretion of the PRCS Director. Day camp cancellation: Weekly camp sessions require a cancellation request at least three (3) calendar days prior to (not including) the first day of camp for a full refund. No refunds will be issued after three days prior to the first day of camp. Facility rental cancellation: Rentals cancelled by the Renter seven (7) or more calendar days before the event will be refunded in full. Rentals cancelled by the Renter less than seven (7) days, but before 24 hours prior to the date/time of reservation, will be issued a 50% refund of the fees already collected or $50, whichever is less. Reservations cancelled 24 hours or less prior to the rental will not receive a refund. Any Damage Deposit received associated with this rental will be 100% refunded. Wait-list refunds: For those that are on a class waitlist that attend after the start date, requests for refund shall be treated as if the first day of attendance is the first day of class. Pro-rated refunds: Class fee refunds will not be pro-rated when registering after the start date except for those entering from the wait-list. Refund of Damage Deposits: The City will inspect the permitted area in the Rental Use Permit after usage to determine if any damage occurred. If damage occurred, the City will assess a cost to fix the damage and retain that amount from the Damage Deposit. Any remainder of the Damage Deposit will be refunded. Should no damage occur, 100% of Damage Deposit will be refunded No Pro-Rated Membership Refunds: All memberships are for the specified amount of time from purchase date. Pro-rated refunds are not permitted for unused portion of purchased time. Exemptions: Requested exemptions from this policy may be submitted in writing to the Recreation Superintendent and require approval by the PRCS Director.
