Summer Dance Soiree

Date: Saturday, July 23 Ages: All Cost: Free Location: Planter’s Club Dress in your finest and come out to Suffolk Public Library’s 3rd Annual community dance. Bring your friends and family, or make new connections during this evening of entertainment. Take a dance break and enjoy various activities and light refreshments. All ages welcome. No registration required.

Encore Series

Date: Select Dates and Times Ages: Older Adults Cost: Free Location: Morgan Memorial Library, North Suffolk Library Learn new skills and make new friends at Suffolk Public Library’s Encore series. Explore various hands-on activities, from art to healthy living. Encore is a series of classes and events intended for older adults, but all adults are welcome. Registration required for select dates.

Amazing Peanut Chase: Citywide Scavenger Hunt

Date: Saturday, June 25 Time: 1:00 - 4:00 PM Cost: Free Location: Morgan Memorial Library, North Suffolk Library (various locations) Think you know every nook and cranny in Suffolk? Come prove it at the Library’s 7th annual Amazing Peanut Chase! This year’s citywide scavenger hunt will start at Morgan Memorial Library and have you road tripping all over Suffolk solving clues. Form your team and prepare for a day full of fun and adventure. All ages welcome. You must provide your own transportation. Registration required.

The Cryptid Who Did...?: A Scavenger Hunt Mystery

Date/Time: Select dates June 17- August 21 Cost: Free Location: Suffolk (various locations) Mysterious mischief is afoot in Suffolk and locals are pinning the blame on a recent spike in sightings of mythical monsters like Bigfoot, Chessie, Chupacabra, and the Jersey Devil. Collect clues to discover which cryptid is causing all the trouble in this light-hearted scavenger hunt mystery. June 17-19: Intrepid adults are invited to chase the troublesome cryptids from bar to bar in downtown Suffolk. July 8-10: Your whole family can join the cryptid hunt as you drive between sweet shops in North Suffolk. August 1-21: Go at your pace as you look for cryptid clues along the Lake Meade Park nature trail.
