Annual Report - Overview

The Requiring Authority shall prepare an annual report on the identification, monitoring, evaluation and management of the effects outlined in the Social Impact and Business Disruption DWP together with a summary of matters raised by the community, and how these have been responded to. The report shall be presented to the Community Liaison Groups.

Development Response

• New lighting on the awnings was installed around Beresford Square.

• Further wayfinding lighting has been installed along the hoarding (Angus Muir neon triangles).

• Street cleaning (in addition to Auckland Council’s street cleaning) within Beresford Square to ensure that the area is clean and tidy.

• Sponsored lockers (from wheely bins) for the homeless in the area.

• Free 1-hour customer car parking vouchers for Beresford Square businesses.

• Small business support programme

• Local artwork including a new Hazer installation around Beresford Square

• Significant sponsorship of street wide activations in partnership with the KBA including First Thursdays

• Stopped noisy works upon receipt of complaint

• Complaints investigated to ensure compliance with designation conditions

• Monitoring to confirm compliance (e.g. dust and noise and vibration monitoring)

• Where possible, noisy or disruptive works delayed / undertaken at different times

• Ensured noisy works will be communicated to stakeholders in future.

• Stage 3 concrete complete L1.

• 112 precast panels installed to date out of 130.

• Precast panel weatherproofing sealants 80% completed on installed panels.

• Architectural handovers have occurred in multiple places.

Mercury Lane superstructure

Walls are being gibbed and painted then handed over to the MFH systems fit-out (fire suppression, plumbing and ventilation) and the electrical and communications team to install cable containment and run the cables. There are 400km of cables to install at Karanga-a-Hape station alone.
