Minutes or Action Points Delivery Work Plans (DWPs) were not circulated before the meeting – Apologies from the contract team. Upon receipt of the plans, CLG members will have 10 working days to comment or question by emailing crlproject@aucklandtransport.govt.nz The purpose of the GSMCP is to avoid, remedy or mitigate potential adverse effects associated with dewatering activities for the CRL tunnel construction. Piles will be drilled into place along Albert Street and a trench built. This will have an unnoticeable effect on ground movement– (i.e. millimetres). There will be ongoing monitoring of excavation induced ground movement throughout the enabling works. This will be carried out by Soldata who is working with contract 1 and 2. Their function is to receive all monitoring information, collate and process so results can be compared with the pre-agreed trigger levels as per consent conditions. This will be reported to AT on a daily basis. If trigger levels are reached, an alarm will sound and action will be taken. A contingency action plan is in place. Building assessments facilitated with calculating the potential movement of buildings and further inspections for high rise and heritage buildings have taken place. Advice from structural engineers suggest no significant concerns. A 3D utility model was created with ground penetrating radar information from Vector and Chorus. This indicated that the main trench will not affect any utilities. Utilities will be diverted to make way for the pipe jack realignment. A long tern view is in mind to ensure utilities are only moved once. Historic Character DWP - Built Heritage (C1 and C2) – Bruce Petry The purpose of this section of the DWP is to manage construction effects on heritage values and built heritage. It also acts as an awareness tool for contractors and ensures the adoption of the best practical options during the construction works in order to minimise impacts on heritage values. Extensive evaluations of historic character have taken place along the CRL route and heritage buildings have been identified: • There are 5 heritage buildings within the Britomart Project Area (C1), including the former Chief Post Office Building on Lower Queen Street, which will be subject to construction works. • 24 Heritage building are present within the Albert Street Project Area (C2). Contingency measures to be implemented during the works, including recording of heritage values, awareness training, protection of heritage features, monitoring and trigger actions are outlined in the DWP. Contact details for the Project Build Heritage Specialist will be available once the DWP has been approved by Council. The free 0800 number will also be available in response to any built heritage concerns during construction. Historic Character DWP - Archaeology (C1 and C2) - Rod Clough

Minutes or Action Points The purpose of this section of the plan is to protect historic heritage/archaeological remains during the construction works, ensure compliance with designation conditions and statutory requirements and to raise awareness of archaeological values in the Project area. The Britomart Project area (C1) is located on reclaimed land, so there is the potential for items of significance such as old walls, jetties, wrecks to be encountered during construction. The Albert Street Project area (C2) is located outside reclaimed land, meaning the potential to encounter archaeological items of significance is low. If any historical items are found, they will be documented, reviewed and donated to universities or the museum. Further investigation may lead to incorporating the findings into the station designs. The Project seeks to raise awareness on the historical and cultural significance of the Project area. Mana whenua have been involved from an early stage to ensure sites of significance are protected and monitored during the works.

Contamination DWP – Lean Phuah – C1 The purpose of this DWP is to manage effects from the disturbance of contaminated materials and to minimise discharges to land or water from contaminated soils. Ground investigations undertaken to date indicate that some contamination may be present in reclamation fill but below levels that would pose a risk to workers or general public. As the Lower Queen Street excavation will be covered under a partial roof structure and works within the Chief Post Office contained within the building, dust will not be a major issue during the construction works. Any dust will be from natural or inert (non-toxic) material. If any contaminated soils is found during the works, it will be disposed of at a suitable location, potentially the Three Kings Quarry. Other Mana whenua have been notified of the interest in a blessing for the trees in the project area. Mana whenua are planning an early works ceremony and will take this into consideration.
