Community engagement – Simon Mitchell

A brief overview of engagement activations undertaken by the communications team since the previous CLG (September), including the final First Thursdays involving Link Alliance’s involvement. Simon also covered the Small Business Support Programme and its impact on businesses around Karanga-a-Hape Station.

Station entrance structures and Urban Realm – Michael Coup

Michael provided an update on the structures’ progress since September’s CLG, including completion of ducting works on Pitt Street, the removal of the tower crane at Mercury Lane, and paving progress around Beresford Square

Station fit-out – Kevin Hopkins

Kevin provided an overview of the fit-out works progress to date, including cable pulling nearing completion, livening of the station and front-of-house fit-out.

Station design elements – Kevin

Kevin talked about the vent Pou and bench seat that will both be installed at Beresford Square, along with the ‘Sun and Moon’ installation that will sit under the roof above the Beresford Square entrance escalators.

Karanga-a-Hape Station precinct integration project – Sally Logan, JFC

Sally gave an update on the latest works progress for the project on Mercury Lane and Pitt Street, most notably the upcoming opening of the public toilets on Mercury Lane.

Questions and Answers

Where the canopy arms are on the corner of the Beresford Square service building, is that the extent of the canopy?

Yes. The canopy is situated above the retail space in the service building.

For the Mercury Lane toilets, will there be signage?

Sally: We will place temporary signage before they open later this month.
