Community engagement – Simon Mitchell
A brief overview of engagement activations and projects undertaken by the communications team since the previous CLG (March), including events at the Pocket Park, around Beresford Square, Pitt Street and along Karangahape Road.
Station entrance structures and Urban Realm – Michael Coup
Michael provided an update on the structure progress since March’s CLG, including roof installation and guttering, steelwork, front of house façade work as well as glazing at both entrances. Michael
also covered the current urban realm works underway and what stakeholders can expect over the coming months.
Station fit-out – Kevin Hopkins
Kevin provided an overview of the fit-out works progress to date, including cable pulling, equipment installation and livening of the station.
Station design – Michael Coup and Simon Mitchell
Simon and Michael covered the Māori creation story, how this is reflected in the station design, and what represents each element.
Project K – Suresh Patel, Auckland Transport
Manoj gave an overview of key team members on the ground, shared the preliminary construction staging and traffic flow post construction.
Questions and Answers
What kind of fencing will there be during Project K’ construction works?
We will use predominantly low-level fencing. We don’t expect it to be for a long period of time. Regarding support, we will be working alongside Werkits to provide support to impacted businesses.
